We booked a double.well,we got a Souterrain-Room that was damp, molding and stinking.when we were complaining, they just said, that they had the cheapest rooms in that Area.

Very very comfortable bed but hard to find because of the small roads especially at night!! Maybe some more signs could be out up in the local area? The location however was very good, only 10-15 minute slow walk to the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. We would definitely stay here again if we visited Istanbul.

The hostel has good facilities. I think it can be better if the staff improve their english. Sometimes I didn't understand if they're with some type of problems or if they couldn't find their way to comunicate. The atmosphere was creepy sometimes because of this. You cannot be with other people so often cause the "living room" is to small for that. They would have plug-ins in the living room to charge your electronic stuff. Anyway location is really good and the lockers are perfect.

I never feel overly compelled to write reviews, but here I simply must as I was so impressed by this wonderful little hostel. The building is charming, tucked away in the less developed streets of Old Sultanhamet, the only noise you;ll hear is the occasional call for prayer from the mosques! The staff were immensely helpful and sympathetic to every request, even with a communication barrier as their English is not perfect but they made every effort to understand and assist.

I really liked the hostel. The staff was friendly and eager to help, the rooms were good and clean and the free turkish breakfast is more than enough! The location is the best thing about it ( 3 min walking from the blue mosque).

We had an excellent time during our four days at Piya Hostel. The staff was super friendly, the place was very clean and the beds/comforters were some of the best I\'ve ever experienced at a hostel. The hostel is located very near the historic district of Istanbul in a unique neighborhood of wooden houses. This made for a neat walk home every night. I would definitely pick Piya the next time I\'m in Istanbul!

A good place for a first journey in Istanbul. The staff is very sympathic and the private room (with bathroom) is very nice : own hot water, own heat water and a kitchenette.
