Would have rated higher if not for obnoxious neighbours "sharing" the kitchen and bathroom facilities. Checked out a day early, no fault of the staff. Seemingly no restrictions on music and noise after certain hours. Only got 6 hours total sleep in two nights

The personal was very nice and tried to help but was not easy with the English language. Hair in the bath room but the rooms were very clean and bed great for sleep.

Very nice hostel with a good breakfast. Very comfortable and clean beds. A bit far from trams and the neighbourhood was very quiet.

We stayed only one night but the breakfast was amazing. The room and bathromm are really clean. Hope we can communicatet with receptionists because of language barrier. If their skills improves, the hostel provides better information to customers. It's pretty far from the station if you take a public transportation especially when we got lost. Still, quiet neighborhood and facilities are clean enough.

The beds were very comfortable however it would have been nice to be able to use the kitchen even if it were only certain times a day.

Piya hostel is really nice, clean and has many brochures with maps of Istanbul which is very helpfull. We were in room for 4 people, there were very comfortable beds, room was bright and warm. Staff is friendly and hostel is located in quiet area so you could get some good rest after walking around the city.

Good location in a genuine local neighborhood. Good breakfast. Extremely kind and helpful staff attending even at 3am. Room was cramped for 4 people. Overall tight for space. No lounge for relaxing; cafeteria doubles as wi-fi zone.

My stay at Piya was fantastic!! The staff were so helpful and went out of their way to make sure that my stay was comfortable and secure. The beds were amazingly comfortable (the best I came across in my three weeks of hostelling around Turkey!) and the atmosphere was quiet and laid-back. If you're looking for a respectful and quiet place to stay that's still in the heart of Istanbul, Piya is the best choice by far!

More English speaking stuff would be perfect ... besides that - I have no complains at all ... though - it lacks the "super-social" atmosphere that many hostels have ... but I guess it always depends on the specifics of the building as well, and that one does not have a huge common room, where strangers could gather for a drink ... it's more of a quiеt hostel

Very nice staff, cleam rooms and bathroom, good breakfast, very confortable beds. Showers can make wet the bathroom. Perfect place to relax after long days of walking.

Unfortunately there was no 24 hour reception and we didn't get a key for the front door. That meant we had to wake up the staff to get inside in the night. And we were waiting outside for quite a long time.

For such a low price, it's normal to be tolerant. As long as the hostel is made in a very old house, there's no phonic isolation AT ALL. The quality of your sleeping will therefore be principally linked to the other clients' politeness. To have your things safe you can give the most precious ones to the staff, or after having a look on the lockers' system, buy a small locker in town.
