probably the worst place I have ever slept in my life , and i have slept in a stable , which was cleaner than this place by the way , there were bed bugs and cockroaches everywhere the beds where smelly and un-clean ! the carpets were stained and looked like they had never been hovered , the pillow that was provided i would not even let my dog sleep on it had a musty old sweat smell , the facility' were a let down, the place looked like a crack den ! you could not pay me to stay there again!!

The staff is pretty helpful, but security is awful. The front door is left open around the clock. The doors to the rooms have no locks. When I first arrived around 2pm there was debate over which bed was mine because people that were supposed to check out had not done so. They had forgotten to pay rent and so they slept on the floor. My room was right next to the kitchen and there was a hole in the wall right next to my bed. I stuffed clothes in it to block light but could still hear everything.

The kitchen environment is not clean as well what I have expected to. There were 2 cockroaches moving around the microwave and it looks really disgusting and ugly in one morning. The hot water supply in Male bathroom were stop unexpectedly while I was taking shower at the moment. It was changed suddenly to cool water in the half way.

Good Hostel it is very social specially around the pool table at night but is still comfortable and you can lounge around and relax on all the couches.manager is very easy going and the other staff are living on site as they are backpackers them selves this makes them friendly and understanding of your situation.I had good night sleeps every night and its very close to leederville if you want to party up or just get a feed.good place would go back there anytime

Wow, i refrained myself from cooking in the kitchen at all. It was dirty and you had to go to the office to get a saucepan or whatever. The breakfast should barely be mentioned in the hostels description at hostels.com. Plain cereal, with milk that was kept outside the fridge for hours etc. Tiny lockers in the rooms which were all occ. With locks. A half assed effort from the staff. And foremost, my bed, which I had to make myself was outrageously disgusting, old and worn. Slept with clothes on.

The customer service, and of course then the staff as well, is awful, if you can even call it that. We had to ask for our sheets/linen for 7 times, and so we had to sleep just on the filthy mattss for the first night. Plus there was a dangerously broken window in the room. Also, the location was bad, and very messy everywhere! The worst hostel I've ever seen.

I thought Planet Inn was great. Not because they have great facilities but because they have a good attitude and are very helpful and accommodating to the needs of somebody who has been up for 23 hours by the time I got there. I had been screwed around by Governor Robinson's, twice and even although they had no space the fitted me in somewhere and accommodated me for another two nights. Facilities, not great. Friendliness, excellent. Helpfulness, excellent.

the rooms were an absolute mess! nowhere to put anything! the kitchen was filthy and people took your stuff even when labelled and unopened!! bed bugs and cockroaches as well, they were fumigating 2 days after left it was so bad. however, some new staff are trying to sort the place out, just some staff don't care. hopefully it will be cleaner and nicer when we visit again, the atmosphere and the guests were all top class! just not the living arrangements!!

Paid for documented nights through your website yet , it was overbooked and had to lie on a sofa in the lounge for 2 nights and was not allowed a discount. Breakfast advertised but only allowed 2 slices of bread or a small bowl of cereal - no breakfast allowed at weekends Mattresses were not fit for purpose - I got covered in bed bug bites, they were running everywhere!!! no secure lockers for personal belongings

Arrived at the airport at 2am, had a pickup time of 2:30 am confirmed 2 days earlier by the manager, but when I rang a very drunk manager told me they had no drivers - had to get a bus. Arrived at hostel about 3 am, only to find that there was nobody there, had to bang the door down to get someone out of bed and let me in.Someone finally let me in and the receptionist who was out the back drinking(couldnt hear me knocking) told me there were no beds left, even though i booked it and confirmed it

This hostel was most definitely the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The place was filthy and disgusting, cockroaches and mice could be seen at night running through the corridors. Most of the beds were not provided with bed linen with most people just sleeping on the dirty mattresses. The man on duty at reception was a moron, who couldn't care less about the basic welfare of the residents. This hostel should be shut down. Avoid it at all costs.

Loved all the people I met there, but the wifi didn't work well, some of the facilities were lacking, and I think I was overcharged. Also there were 10 people in an 8 person room and no lock on the door or window.

This slum would have been quite ok if it had cost 2 or 3 AUD - but not over 20... - no security (no locker available + window to the street is always open - all kinds of people move in and out of the building whenever they want) - bring your own light (dark corridors, broken lamp in room) - bring your own mattress if you want an unbroken one - one single wash-bowl for dozens of people - last cleaning seems to have been decades ago - the rundown atmosphere does not attract the nicest visitors...
