Staff are really helpful and friendly and the owner has a very hands-on and personal approach. Brilliant social atmosphere. Personal lockers in the rooms with power sockets are really useful and the roof terrace is a great place to hang out. Only downside is the size of the dorms. There is no space for luggage and they could do with some shelves in the bathroom for your toiletries. All in all an excellent place and I have already recommended it to several friends and would love to stay again.

Planet Traveller was a last minute find and I was pleasantly surprised. Its one of the nicest places I have stayed in quite a while (and i have travelled all over the world hence its a huge compliment). The staff are exceptionally friendly, the place is really comfortable and I love the fact they offer a huge range of breakfast options. The only downer is leaving the place :)

A few small things could be improved - as there are six beds per room and not much storage space - if the beds were raised slightly (even by 15cm/6in) then you could store your bags under the beds. Also some shelving on the walls would be beneficial (particularly for the top bunks). Also, individual reading lights would also be great as its hard to read when you have others asleep in your room. Apart from these small adjustments, this is far and away the best hostel that I have ever stayed at

We really enjoyed staying in this hostel. The staff were nice, very kind with us. The location is perfect, very close to the center by walk and others facilities! The kitchen was great and clean and the breakfast was very nice too! Good thing to know: there are free rice and some others food that you can cook! Then, the roof top had an amazing view on Toronto! Great to have a drink up there! And they often organize activities for their customers! I highly recommend this hostel!!!!

Everything about Planet Traveler was above average compared with other hostels I\'ve stayed in, with the exception of the room size. Some of the women in my dorm had 2 large pieces of luggage each and there just wasn\'t enough room for everything. I would definitely stay there again, but I would pack lighter next time and hope that my roommates did the same.

Everything was superb. Lovely & helpful staff, great atmosphere, free wifi & computer use, nice clean rooms, awesome bathroom & shower. Very modern looking place. One of the best things was the FREE BREAKFAST! Great selection of stuff like cereals, Bagels & fruit. Staff will always stop for a chat which is great. Only complaints: The shower wasn't always hot, only happened a couple of times though. Also my keycard stopped working a couple of times. Had to knock to get into my room one night.

Nice hostel with a great free breakfast. Nice clean facilities and great Internet access with wifi or their apple macs. One point to note though is the age of people stayin there is pretty mixed but around 25-35 or older and they close off all common areas at midnight so there is literally no where for you to go if you just want to chill and not sleep. Great if you just want to explore Toronto and have somewhere nice to sleep but if you want a party go elsewhere

Beautiful, clean, environmentally friendly hostel with an awesome deck on the roof and a nice kitchen, hang-out area. Nice cause it\'s a place where you can be social and get to know people without it being an obnoxiously loud party hostel.

Just great. Very new, very clean and very nice hostel. They even have solar panels on the roof! I wish every city in the world had a hostel like this!

I really enjoyed my stay at this Hostel. It was very new and clean. The staff was very helpful. The dorms are ok, but missing some room for the luggage. I would like if they use a perfume-free detergent to wash the bed sheet ; it smells good but not for perfume sensitive people : (

This place was super! Friendly and helpful staff, wonderful kitchen, great bagel breakfast, free coffee and tea all day long, WiFi in room, washing machines… everything there. Plus it's in this really nice area of Toronto. I want to go there again!

This hostel is awesome! The staff is helpful and fun. It's in a perfect location, walking distance from lots of places and close to public transit. My only recommendation is that if you have a snoring problem you might want to bring your own pillow as the ones provided resemble pancakes (I had a room mate who made dinosaur snores all night, every night during my stay). Also the breakfast is great! I would definitely stay here again.

Mattress was very soft... not the kind of thing I would either pick up on or care about normally- but I read someone else say that, and it was true! Also bedrooms have no furniture at all- minimalist, yes practical no. However, spotlessly clean, and great breakfast and facilities. Stripping beds before leaving and handing in bedding seems a bit odd though...
