Lovely hostel centrally located with staff that are willing to go the extra mile. Rooms were clean and spacious bad breakfast in the morning was a bonus nice too! Highly recommended

I have stayed at Planet Traveler multiple times -- and for good reason. The facilities are clean, the complimentary breakfast is great, and I appreciate all of the extra touches such as having the lockers in the hallway instead of in the room so that there's less noise in the night. The only thing that could be improved is more room to hang things. I think that the rooms could benefit from a few hangers for towels and a small shelf near each bed to put things like eyeglasses or cell phones.

I will definitely recommend for anyone wanting to visit Toronto. The location is central and most tourist attractions are very close, as well as the transit system. The rooftop terrace has an amazing view. The only (minor) drawback was the limited parking but there was a public parking place about 5 minutes walk away. Really a top-notch place to stay.

The hostel is clear and get a good view from rooftop. Close to china town and you can walk to down town around 25 mins.

This is just a lovely hostel, the location is great, the place is clean and the staff is really friendly. The ensuite bathrooms are really nice, every room locker has 2 electrical outlets and there is free popcorn and rice all day.

Very very recommend.......The hostel is near the university of toronto and downtown (chinatown) which is a big advantage to visit the nearby place by walking.

This is a pretty sleek, friendly, and clean joint. The staff was incredibly nice and very helpful in helping you pick activities to do in Toronto. When I return to Toronto, I will definitely stay there again!

Nice location. If you are visiting Toronto and wanna do something special other than touristic stuff, this kensington market area is what you are looking for ! Seems like newly renovated but the washroom in the room that i stayed was a bit disgusting, like no one cleans it. A couple of staffs were pretty rude, and as i showed that i felt uncomfortable with it, they started to be nice, like they care of reviews :) Other than that it was nice staying there. The rooftop was awesome !

The staff were great: very helpful, welcoming and friendly. I received prompt answers to my email questions prior to my stay. Loved the rooftop and how environmentally friendly the hostel is.

Free breakfast and a free BBQ the Saturday night I was there!

One of the best hostel breakfasts I've encountered on my travels thus far, very engaged staff, and a killer location. The ensuite bathrooms are an amazing touch, mattresses are super comfy, and the view from the rooftop patio is legendary!

The staff were particularly cheerful, friendly and helpful. Cleaning was done often by staff and there was no closing of facilities while they cleaned.

One staff member incredibly nice. Another staff member quite odd and did not understand English very well. Best thing was to rent a bike, but expensive.

Hostel is in a fantastic location, with air con (in summers so important) really nice bathroom facilities and an amazing roof bar that has a fantastic view over Toronto. Staff were pleasant but not as nice as my past experiences in many hostels. Only negatives honestly were the activities, there just didn't seem to be many/any. Overall almost like a hotel which is fantastic for the price

Really nice hostel. Facilities are clean. The kitchen is nice. And it was easy to meet people.

I only stayed 12 hrs for the night, so i can't really say much about the atmosphere but I found it rather anonymous due to it's hotel character. The hostel itself is very clean, provides for everything a traveller needs, is very centrally located. I slept in an en suite 6 bed female dorm. lockers were inside the rooms, which is plus. AC worked fine and quietly, bathroom state of the art. YET: not enough space in room or bathroom to accomodate all the girls' stuff, so it was very chaotic.
