Great hostel in a great location with an awesome staff. One of the best hostels I've stayed at.

Fantastic! Great staff, free brekkie available until 1pm, clean hostel, good location. Dorm was small but manageable.

Great location within walking distance to a lot of great neighborhoods: Queen Street West, Bloor/Yorkville, Chinatown, UoT. As others have mentioned, the rooms are a little cramp, but the facilities are extremely clean and security is not an issue. Really great place to meet others, especially in their spacious common room and rooftop bar areas.

Locker rooms would have been appreciated!

Really nice hostel. Staff were helpful and had good local knowledge. The roof top terrace was a beautiful place for relaxing and meeting other travelers.

Very nice hostel, staff is ok. All furniture is new, the kitchens and bathrooms are excellent. Bedrooms are a bit small but ok.

Without doubt one of the best hostels i ever stayed. Nice, modern and clean place, but also with a good vibe and friendly staff -for example, they would help me out by printing my bustickets for free. Really enjoyed the great communal area with lots of different places to sit and where the diy breakfast was served. Never left hungry! Only one point of complaint: the tiny tiny dorm with squeeky bunkbeds and little airconditioning... ...made up for by the great rooftop patio with fantastic views.

This hostel was fantastic! I had a great time staying here! Clean, well equipped kitchen, tidy rooms with ensuite, amazing AMAZING view of the Toronto skyline on the topdeck and friendly staff! I would highly recommend it! Stay here!

Staff is not so nice and location is not so central in the city, but the hostel is really good. Good facilities.

In fact hostel is not bad, room has bathroom ensuit that is good, it is clean and includes breakfest. But internet is VERY bad, it just doesnt work, so people go outside to talk propely on skype etc. It seems that the owner do not care about it. Also stuff could be much better....

Right up there with my top 5 hostels of all time, and I've stayed in a lot! The location is good but the view from the roof terrace is epic. Great atmosphere on BBQ nights and loads of parties and fun going on. What a place!

Great location, friendly staff and very clean facilities. The only complaint I have is that all the common areas shut down around midnight.

Amazing hostel! Very easy to meet other travellers. There is a great view from the rooftop bar, where you can bring your own alcohol. They organize a weekly pubcrawl on Wednesdays (for free) and have a free BBQ on the rooftop every Saturday, which are both very fun. Also, having air con in Toronto in the summer is a major plus.

As a traveller who has stayed in many great hostels in Europe and SEAsia, I tend to be disappointed by hostels in North America. I'm pleased to say that Planet Traveler is an exception! The quality of the accommodations and the value for money matches the experience of staying in a top-rated European hostel. It was easy to meet people, the breakfast was excellent, the rooms were well-designed, and the rooftop terrace was lovely on a nice summer evening. Well done Planet Traveler! And thanks!

Friendly and helpful staff. Common area and kitchen were clean and nice. Room itself was quite small, but this is a hostel so not complaining. Locker with a plug was a huge plus. Also free computer and internet acces much appreciated! Breakfast was good. Good selection of cereals, bagels and toast. Fresh bananas too :) Roof top terrace with a mint view was great! Would defo come here again if back in Toronto some day!!!

Amazing roof terrace with views of the city skyline, and even a free BBQ on Saturdays from the lovely owner. Incredible free breakfast til 1pm (EVERY cereal you could think of, plus bagels, bananas) and lots of helpful tips on nearby places to eat/shop/drink etc from the staff. Clean and safe, and in a very cool neighborhood. Would definitely return!
