Was meant to be staying in a 10 person dorm but the keys we were meant to have were missing, so they put the 2 of us in a private room at no extra cost instead, which was nice! Nice enough hostel, has the facilities you would expect.

My friend and I stayed at Plantation for three nights during which we were not impressed with the hostel. Firstly there was a guy in our room who checked in the same day as us for one night, yet he proceeded to stay there for the duration of our stay and may well still be there despite not having a room to sleep in. This made us question the security of the place as he was able to stay there without a room and just got drunk everyday and slept in the lounge.

Average location in the centre of the town and near the bus stop but far away from the beach. Bedroom could be cleaner and mattress was extremely uncomfortable.

The hostel was awful, my friend and I arrived at half 6 in the morning to be greeted my no one. There were no staff around a cleaner had to let us in to leave our luggage and he said come back at 9, so we did and the manager still hadn't arrived and when he did he was very rude! The hostel its self was disgusting the kitchen was vile the room was boiling with a small ridiculous fan. I would'nt stay there again!!

Really nice and helpful staff. The hostel had everything we needed, it was really clean and the free wifi was awesome! Hotel bar was a bit loud, you can hear it to your rooms.

The beds and the kitchen were clean, but the rooms in general were dirty and the bathrooms very dirty. Also, the room we stayed in was quite noisy.

I had to go and find a member of staff to check us in - he was outside smoking. The bed was fairly uncomfortable & the room was dirty - hairs and dust in the sink. The bathrooms were also filthy, tissue all over the floor, bins overflowing, here was a used tampon on top of the bins for a full day. My boyfriend saw a used condom under a bar of soap which was there for our entire stay. The kitchen was a mess but that was down to the guests, the management were addressing that with staff.

Our room's window faced a balcony with people drinking and smoking which was very loud and made it hard to sleep. Restaurant is good, liked the food.

The accommodation lacked character and atmosphere. It is more of a place to stop over for a night than be classed as a backpackers. The kitchen and bathrooms weren't particularly clean - although the kitchen may be down to previous visitors to the accommodation.
