We were 4 students traveling together and we had a bad experience staying at this place. 1. The woman running the hostel is very rude (and this is coming from a Canadian)! My friend had a rash after our hike and they refused to let her use the shower because we checked out earlier that day! 2. The air was really stuffy in our room, and smelled a bit like mold. 3. The place has no real character/atmosphere. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, just don't expect it. I would not stay here.again.

A seriously wonderful place to stay. The rooms are lovely, kitchen is very clean and well equipped, great location- close to tongariro crossing. Make sure you print out your booking confirmation- they tried to charge us more for the room than we booked it for. They were really nice about it when we showed them our booking and sorted it out.

It was very clean, and a very nice place to stay when you do the Tongariro Crossing. Everything is clean, kitchen and lounge are from good size. There are a lot of shower and toilet facilities . Also, the room have enough space. Very nice place. For me definitely worth every cent I spend :)
