The best: the location and breakfast, which was very complete and tasty. The low points: We stayed at a dorm for 4 people. The door didn't close, we had to keep it open or put something behind to hold it. We asked for a key, they gave us one to share, and said that usually shared rooms had to keep unlocked. They should give one key to each traveler. The worst was cleanliness: they gave us stained and teared sheets. When we complained, they changed them. The showers were not really hot either.
Great vibes here, close to Palermo soho and all the juice bars and restaurants. Found the staff very helpful and accommodating. Good selection for breakfast too. Hated the matress with the plastic sheet, felt very uncomfortable to sleep on.
To cover all mattresses with latex, but provide just a very thin, too small, almost not existing bed sheet is not the way to make guests feel comfortable at 38°C. Apart from that the bunk beds were too unstable to move without waking up the other person.
Lovely hostel! Everybody had breakfast in their pyjammas each mornings! Quite in the evening. Friendly and relaxed for all ages.
