Colombia is NOT a beach destination, so you might be disappointed by quality of the beach and the sea. But here it is way better than in Santa Marta, Taganga or Cartagena. Anyway, it is a good place to chill. Nothing is going on here, so if you need a day or two of solitude at the beach - this is your choice. All the facilities are pretty basic and need renovation, but it adds to the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. Bar is just okay, the music they play is awful.

if u want to rest and drink relax come here... however, the bar is expensive if u compare prices in Santa Marta City and the quality of the beach

It was a nice stay here! Right on the beach. We were there on a Friday night and it wasn't so much of a party. Only complaint would be the music the guy at the bar was playing was a bit rubbish as the night progressed. We would request different genres of songs and he would cut them off halfway and put back on the 50s and 60s music. It was hard to socialize when everyone was falling asleep. My travel partner said the girls bathroom smelled bad. But the males was fine. Overall I recommend!!

The staff is incredible!! Very knowledgeable, helpful, and super friendly. Tons of animals around and you literally roll out of bed onto a mostly empty beach. The downsides are that the dorm rooms absolutely need more fans (I had a lot of trouble sleeping) and the bathrooms reek.
