Well, we got exactly what we expected, but I would have thought there'd be a bit more assistance getting around. At the time of booking, there was a shuttle for a small fee advertised but this is actually just a bus stop down the road and not something provided by the hosts themselves. They don't speak any English which makes it difficult, to the extent that I just stopped asking for anything because it took more effort than it was worth. The hosts were sill very nice, just a language barrier
There is no breakfast, and the location is somewhat off of the park. You should drive or take the bus to get there. The host is friendly, but speaks only limited German and no English. There is a good restaurant down the road, and a convenient grocery store in town with an information desk next door, who can provide you with any maps you might need. The nearest ATM is at the main hotel. Checkout is 10AM.
The room was clean and a decent size, but there was no air-conditioning (which was tough for 3 days in 38 degree heat with no breeze!). The owners were nice, but they only spoke German which was a little tricky. It was also further away from the park than expected, you had to get a bus or very expensive taxi to the entrance of the park. For us (two students), it was a bit too expensive for what it was, but for an overnight stay it would be fine.
