The staff were quite helpful, very nice people. I found too difficult to cope with a shared bathroom, though I could use other bathrooms two floors downstairs. On top of that, the two toilets upstairs got stuck. However, the staff tried to solve the situation. as good as they were able to. Some visitors were quite noisy too late at night and I (we all) had to put up with that. In my opinion noisy visitors should be prevented to bother other people too late at night more effectively.

really nice stuff! about 10 minutes to walk to the beach, bout 15 minutes by bus to the citycentre. sometimes loud, fist night, there were party people - it was very loud till 4 in the morning; so dont forget your earplugs as in every hostel.

I'd stayed at their (excellent) Sur Hostel in Colonia so had no hesitation booking here. Much quieter (the time of year I guess) but still a really cool place. Beautiful old house with a nice garden. 5 minutes walk to the beach. Really friendly staff who were happy to hang out, give advice, try to teach us Uruguayan card games... I liked staying in Pocitos rather than the Ciudad Vieja, it's a cool neighbourhood - but if you want to be near all the touristy stuff that's the only downside.

This is a great place to relax and end your travels! A very close walk to the beach and a short trip to the city center (shopping and walking around). The rooms were terribly small however. There were lockers but only for valuables, everything else had to be stacked inside the rooms. I could stand between the beds and my shoulders are about the width of the space in between. Also, EVERYONE was crammed into a room when there were several empty rooms availabe. my only complaint, space but great.

A really nice hostel in a good location. The staff were really lovely people and helpful. There wasn´t much in the way of suggested activities for the day or night, but when you asked they had some answers. The hostel lacked atmosphere, but it could be because peak season has really just finished. Showers were hot and had a bit of pressure, which was nice for a change.

Clean rooms, nice patio to relax or have an asado, friendly staff, lots of boardgames and books to keep yourself entertained if you want to stay in. Only a few blocks to the beach. Overall, great hostel!

Staff!!! , no comments , extremely nice and welcome, the atmosphere was one of the best we had in our trip, if it wasn't raining, we surely would put that place down. Unfortunatly that room for six downstairs is a "bunker". There's no way to sleep there with only one fan. We've changed the room and we got locked inside during the night because the door didn't have a knob and the fan wasn't working too, try to realize how bad it is once you are in a hurry to go to the restroom?

The hostel is nice and secure, but very far of the center of Montevideo though close to the beaches. It might not be the cleanest (in the bathrooms), but it is a great place to meet people and party a little bit in the evening.

I loved the hostel. I think they could have a larger locker and a better w-ifi . The place is great, has a great atmosphere! The Nachos are the best! I'll back certainly as soon as possible!

Gorgeous place, like a house, great courtyard, great atmosphere and it engenders lots of easy chatter with all guests. Super super Super friendly staff, genuinely friendly and happy to help, relaxed, lovely place! Security great. Lovely location near pocitos beach, close to a local market that was great- we saw that on a Wednesday. Great food, great tips from staff, and they were lovely and really nice and helpful. Can't top it yet!
