Great hostel, absolutely the best of those in which I had occasion to stay on different trips around Central and East Europe. Great atmosphere, it looks more like a big flat. The rooms offer high standard and are quite cosy. What's more - staff is very helpful and engaged in what they are doing. And Olomouc is a nice city - sadly overlooked, but at least it is very calm and not so packed with tourists.

Love this hostel! The staff makes you feel like family. Olomouc itself is a fun alternative to Prague and The Poet's Corner is the perfect place to experience it from.... there might even be some baked or stewed goodies thrown in for good measure! If you are traveling in the Czech Republic this place is a must.

Excellent, home styled hostel. Staff are friendly and more than helpful in making your stay as pleasant as possible. Facilities are all clean and in good order. The atmosphere is friendly and it is easy to make friends and socialize or have a quite stay depending on your preference. Great location, close to everything, but be prepared to walk a few flights of stairs.

A breath of fresh air, great atmosphere and lovely company. The staff had superb knowledge of Olomouc and I am now a solid convert, not that i needed to be persuaded. I hope to visit the city again soon, thankyou poets.

Great place to stay in a great city. The owners and staff really love Olomouc and their enthusiasm for it is contagious. You can see how some don't leave!

Both owners and staff are very nice and friendly, the restaurants/cafes recommended are definitely worthy to visit. The hostel is very comfy and homey too. Bathrooms, common area and kitchen are spotless. Highly recommended

A great lace to stay in Olomouc. Francie and her staff are simply amazing. Cannot wait to go back and take full advantage of the city, and since Poets Corner makes everything so easy for you to do, there is room for many trips. If Poets Corner could franchise into major cities, I would invest.

I simply loved Poets Corner and plan on staying there the next time I'm in Olomouc. I was only there for two nights but wish I could have stayed longer. The hostel was a perfect size and the staff were so friendly and helpful, it was important to them that I enjoyed my stay, not just their job. I'll be spreading the word about this place personally, and I know how powerful word of mouth can be.

I loved my stay here, such a nice, cosy hostel, easy access to the main town and trams. Francie and Greg were awesome, such friendly people with great advice, Anyone looking for a break forom the big, crowded hostels should definitely stay here, you will feel at home!

One of the best hostels we've stayed at. The owners make it their goal to make sure you enjoy your stay in the hostel, and in Olomouc. On the first day Greg gave us a walking tour of the town. On the 2nd day Francine baked an awesome cake to celebrate the hostel's 9th birthday. The common area has a charm of an old apartment, and if you can't get some travel info from the owners, you'll definitely find it in one of the many books they have there. DO NOT miss Olomouc!

The Poets' Corner is one of the best hostel I've ever been to. The atmosphere in the hostel is amazing and the second you enter you feel like at home. It is so cosy and I've probably never felt safer while staying in a hostel. The staff is really great: nice, helpful, talkative, organizing loads of activities and helping out with whatever information you might need. The Poets' Corner is not a party hostel, but rather a place to relax, chat and meet nice, quiet people (mainly couples).

If you're visiting the beautiful city of Olomouc, this hostel is definitely the place to stay for any backpacker! Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms (we stayed in the private room) and bathrooms, nice common areas and a relaxed, home-like atmosphere. The city center (i.e. old town) with tons of wonderful churches and old buildings is within easy walking distance. Also, parks, eateries and pubs aren't too far away.

Great hostel, awesome staff. Really well located in beautiful Olomouc. Good directions from the train/bus station, especially the map on the flyer, really helpful. Fun to go to the lake with the others on a hot summer's afternoon. Good suggestions for places to go, nice lounge to hang out in, decent book exchange. Spacious dorm rooms. Wish I could have stayed longer!

A superb hostel. We stayed in one of the private rooms- it was spacious, nicely decorated and had a very comfortable bed. All of the little extras like tea and coffee were provided.The hostel location was really central and within easy reach of the town and surroundings. By far the best thing about this hostel is the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. We were made to feel really welcome and didn't really want to leave when it was time to move on!

Really great hostel. The staff did everything possible to make sure everyone was settled in, comfortable and making the most out of Olomouc. The small details like free ginger tea and banana cake really made a lot of difference.
