You'll be hard pushed to find a better hostel. Everything about Poets is as great as I remember it being. The place is dripping in unique character, it is incredible value for money, location is spot on, the owners are beyond glorious, and this is all without mentioning Dave. Dave, you're a champion. Basically, if you choose to stay anywhere else in Olomouc, you're doing it wrong.

Very spacious and stylish hostel right in the center of the beautiful town of Olomouc run by travellers for travellers.. Just cannot ask more ;)

Poets corner was an amazing place to stay. It was just like walking into a friends house to stay for a few nights. The owners Ian and Luka were very friendly and helpful and Dave told me all about the things to see and places to go. We even went out to an ice hockey match Olomouc lost but still entertaining for my first game. More people need to come and stay at poets corner and see the beautiful Olomouc... way better then prague and no tourists :)

Hi and thank you for your review and compliments. Well, Olomouc Hockey team did not do so well in the playoffs but had a good season overall. There is always next year! The relaxed pace and non-mass tourism feel of Olomouc certainly has lots of appeal for those wanting to see a real, living breathing city full of magnificent sights and fun. Happy travels! This is a really great hostel. Olomouc is a nice town that gets skipped far too often by travelers in the Czech Republic. Be sure to check it out and stay here if you ever have the chance.

this was a really nice place to stay, the staff where really friendly and helpful...it was one of those hostels that feels like more than just somewhere to sleep..has that homely feel. would defiantly recommend it as a place to stay, and would also recommend that any one visiting the area stop off and visit Olomouc , id rate my visit here as highly as Prague.

What a lot of people dont know is that Olomouc is second largest urban preservation zone in the Czech Republic and therefore has a wealth of history and architectural splendour. That and being a big student town makes for a fun and rewaring place to visit. Glad you experienced it! Happy travels, Poets.

Not much to say about the hostel, but we met some awesome people in here! If you want to meet people, share stories and have fun this is the place for you... And yeah, the hostel is nice and comfy. Feels like home!

Great little place, fantastic staff, nice stocked kitchen with free coffee and tea, good wifi, good location only a short walk to center. If I come back to Olomouc I'll be staying here again.
