OK for the price, very helpful staff and great location. The actual room wasn't that great, walls and floors could be redecorated and bathroom would def. do with renewing, especially shower- the pressure was really poor.

Polynesian Beach Club was ok. The only thing good about this hostel was the location, only one block from the beach, places to eat and bus stop. The place had no security at all (anyone could come inside the hostel, just ringing the bell). Rooms were very hot, so we were forced to leave the door open at night. Staff were not helpful (they didn't know the right info about how to get to the places) and desorganized by telling people to come in the room when there wasn't enough beds for them.

Stayed in 6 bed dorm first night, then 8 bed next 2 nights and the 8 bed was better? Some staff were OK, but most were unhelpful, we had one instance of being told to use Google maps to find pearl harbour as the man on desk wasn't familiar!!! Still our 8 bed room was clean and enjoyable, didn't explore downstairs to much but people seemed to be having a good time

I LOVED my stay at the Polynesian. Very friendly staff and is located right off the beach. My dorm mates were wonderful. I made some lifelong friends there. For the price I paid it was extremely worth it. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Took the basic double bed private. The room was in dire condition: No curtains, facing other residential apartments with lights beaming into the room. This made it near impossible to sleep. Also there is no ventilation system working. The staff is quite disorganized as well. The location is great on the plus side.

The location is great, only a minute walk to the beach. Lots of bars/resteraunts/shopping very nearby. People were fun to hang out with only problem was that after 10pm there is no common area to hang out in at the hostel, but I think this is fairly common for hostels in the area.

The staff and environment make this hostel one of the best I have stayed at ever. A little dirty, a little out of date, but the staff make it feel just like home. Couldn't have asked for a better place! So close to the beach :)

This is a great hostel! It is located about 100 meters from Waikiki Beach and the main coastal promenade, which is fantastic. Rooms are quite small, and the beds are a little squeeky, but it is totally worth the money. The staff is helpful and kind (esp. Theresa!), and there are people from all over the world staying. Fun atmosphere - bring some beers to the kitchen and connect! They also offer cool activities at a very reasonble prize. The sea kayaking is recommended! Ask for the Professor.

Very good staff. Available suites with kitchen, privates and dorms - we've tried all of them. Hostel is pretty clean. The main thing - it is about 100m from the beach. And we think one of the best part of it. Definitely woth staing in this hostel. Staff is very helpfull and friendly. All necessary things are available - kitchen and utilities, washer and dryer, wifi, lockers etc. ALSO - hostel provides great activities (kayaking on Lanikai, trips to the beaches around the Oahu ect.) - GREAT!!!

beware: no blankets! wifi only in lobby. very generous towel rental. crappy beds in plastic mattress covers - wouldn't want to be there whenif it's hot. "ensuite" bathroom in 2-person room is shared with one 4-person room. beach sand causes shower drainage problems.
