very friendly staff, owner paul is a real nice guy,
showers and bathrooms not really spacy, people who are allergic to cat hair are in the wrong place, cause they are all over the hostel, nice kitchen and common room, two bed rooms could be a little more personal ( some posters or pictures on the walls would be nice).very friendly staff, owner paul is a real nice guy,

Pretty homey, although the bathrooms are down the hall and are really tiny. My mattress was super uncomfortable and there were cobwebs in the girls dorm. Cleanliness is OK but not anything special. Paul and staff are really friendly and do their best to make guests not just comfortable in the hostel, but comfortable as travelers. If you like Auckland, it's a good location. I didn't like Auckland, so I didn't give it 100% for location. Lockers are small, so they're not for all your stuff--valuables only. Bed was very creaky--this is a backpackers and not a luxury accommodation, so I was fine with that. Ponsonby is quite a tiring walk from the city. since it's located on a hill, the way back there is tougher than getting to the city. The showers are always hot and you dont have a time limit now.
Itīs great the little park outdoors, you can drink beer and do a BBQ.
