A very friendly, comfortable and welcoming place, in a lovely quarter of town. Very well equipped kitchen. Staff very helpful answering questions and giving information.

This is hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed in. I felt welcome from the moment I walked in the door, where the staff already knew my name. The rooms were very clean, the beds comfy, and the other backpackers very friendly and open. Anyone and everyone will strike up a conversation with you anytime. The only drawbacks were no free wifi, and very small bathrooms. But it was more than worth it, and I'd be happy to stay there again.

Was an awesome hostel. Really enjoyed a day sat on the big sofas watching TV. The staff are great and the kitchen is really well equipped which is a massive bonus for any hostel!

The hostel was very clean and the bunk beds were comfortable. I liked the atmosphere of this place and the people were friendly. What I didn't like was the strict policy of no use of facilities after check-out.

The location is very close to Ponsonby Rd, with it's cozy little bars and shops. And still within decent walking distance to the CBD (or a bus stop right at the front door if that's more your thing). The people staying there were like minded backpackers, most of them either beginning their trip through New Zealand, or ending it. Could maybe have used bigger showers and a kitchen that's accessible at all times (closes at 10:30). But otherwise a very laid back place to stay.

This was a comfortable stay - I was only here for one night but it was a delightful way to arrive in NZ. The atmosphere is very Kiwi, in the best possible way (i.e. relaxed) and I would readily stay here again on subsequent trips to Auckland.

It was as we expected a backpackers would be in the middle of Auckland. We didnt use many of the facilities as we used the beds and left early the next morning. The location was perfect for our purposes!

Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the girls dorm and felt safe and comfortable for the duration of my stay. Only problem was a possible lack of lights out rules. Even with just five staying in a room a couple felt it was fine to be loudly tapping at laptops and sniggering while it was clear that the rest of the room was needing sleep.

A lovely hostel! We found the staff really helpful and welcoming. The hostels rooms and garden were fantastic, with everything you need. Shame there's no free Wifi but besides that a great place to stay!
