This was my second stay at the Port Inn. Staff are always friendly and very helpful. Great location near the train station and within walking distance to the Port Terminal for those planning a cruise from Haifa Port.

I came here during Passover so perhaps all the business closing down in the Port area added to the feeling of bad location. Otherwise it is a 5-10minute walk to the German Colony but you'll need to take the bus to the beach or Elijah's Cave unless you want to walk at least 30-45 minutes each way. The staff are really nice and friendly. They have a safe where you can keep items but you do not get your own locker with a key. The dorms are comfortable for someone who's not picky. Also free wifi.

The staff was AMAZING!! No matter where you wanted to go, they knew, which bus/train to take. They knew a lot about things to see in Israel and were extremely helpful. The location is great near the train station and different buses. They have a nice garden where you can drink free coffee and talk to other travellers.

Port Inn is an excellent place to spend good time in Haïfa! The staff is very helpfull, kind and enthusiastic. The living room is also the perfect place to have great discussion! But I would suggest to have keys for the female dorm...

Located very close to the Haifa Central Station (HaShmona) (less then 10 min walk) and to the Carmelit (subway) station (5 min). Nice breakfast for 30 NIS (about $8). Since it's might be pretty chilly in Israeli houses in February, it was nice to find that this was not the case in Port Inn Dorm. Thank's a lot to Katy (staff) for helpful comments and hospitality and to the lady from the dinning room for breakfasts early in the morning.

It\'s a fairly good place to stay at, but I got the impression that they try to charge their customers as much as they can as Port Inn is in a unique position on hostels.com. Being the only \"cheap\" hostel in Haifa. I\'ve stayed at many other cheaper hostels in Israel where they provide free breakfast, here they charge you 30 nis. The staff is helpful and excellent. The cleaners keep the place clean. A bummer they close the living room at 11:00 PM.

Staff ranged from extremely nice and helpful, to standard Israeli bluntness, to rather rude, depending on who. The place is nice enough, clean and comfortable, though 11pm is lights out, with reception, lobby, computers, kitchen, and indoor common areas shutting down, so the "fun" rating here is pretty low. Having said this, it's pretty much the only game in town, so if you must come to Haifa (which in itself doesn't have much going for it), you're gonna book here, and you could do a lot worse.

The staff at the hostel are great, but the hostel itself lacks a decent common room, and is not the best environment for meeting other travellers, and the kitchen can only accomodate one person at a time, meaning if you are planning to cook, you'll be lining up for a while. There are also extra costs for linen, and breakfast is not included, which is a real shame.

* This hotel is well located in the Port area, very close to the tram-station, and 15 minutes walk to the Bahai Gardens and to the German quarter. * The breakfast is not included in the standard price, but they offered us free coffe and tea for free in the guest kitchen. * When comming with a private vehicle, there is a convinient parking close-by, near the tram station. It costed us 2 euros for all the night.
