Small hostel, liked the atmosphere. Location is a bit out of town, ~ 15 Minutes walk. Lockers would've been nice and the plates and bowls etc seemed to be very old, enjoyed my stay nevertheless.

I have never felt more welcome at a hostel! I absolutely d it there, and I was sad to leave! If you want a homely feeling go here! Best hostel ever!

A very nice hostel over all, we even got a room for 4 even though we were booked into an 8-bed room for no extra cost. BUT there's no sockets in the rooms, so nowhere to charge mobiles/laptops etc except in the kitchen or common room. That said, it was a nice and friendly place to stay. Don't forget to visit the Koala Hospital if you stay here. :)

Great showers!

My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay on our long drive back from Byron to Sydney. We booked a 2 bed private room but unfortunately booked the wrong date! When we arrive the staff were super helpful and understanding. Luckily for us they kindly fitted us into a room that night and no extra charges or money lost :) Very friendly people that stayed there too and was clean :)

Great overnight stop, friendly staff. Free pool table was added bonus, as well as free lifts to the koala hospital.

Had an awesome time in this hostel. The staff are very friendly and so helpful. Very clean and well looked after. Only negative aspect was the noise from the main road, very noisy and loud in the morning. Would recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay here, one of the best hostels on our trip along the East Coast so far! Staff were brilliant, especially Tracy in reception! Bathrooms really spacious and nice big kitchen. If it's cloudy or rainy, there's plenty to do in the hostel which is great! Thanks laura and Georgia

The guy in the reception seemed shady, the house felt and looked very old (only the bathrooms were okay) and we had no power outlets in our room. When we got there they had also given our beds to someone else. We got another one so that's Fine. We slept in our own sleeping bags because we got the feeling that the beds weren't that fresh.. and there is no free breakfeast. The atmosphere was good though and it wasn't that far to town.

Disappointing review, the house is old. The oldest in town in fact and heritage listed, and most people like the feeling. Its not a shiny fake flash packers. We didn't give your beds away, Just 2 bookings with same names and you got the dorm you payed for. Linen is freshly washed for every customer and would have been cleaner than your sleeping bags. We don't do free breakfast , or advertise it, and haven't done so for 5 years.

Only stayed one night and wouldn't have been too keen to stay longer. The place was ok but our double room wasn't the cleanest, was about 5 metres from a busy road and was just big enough to fit a bed in and not much else. Staff were very nice though and it's a nice 15 min walk into town.

Best hostel we've stayed in!! ...and that's not because of the free wifi. The town is beautiful with loads to do. Staff are very friendly and owner Tony is great to stop and talk to will give you lots of ideas and helpful tips of what to do. Would recommend doing the coastal walk and going to the beaches. Hostel is very clean and rooms are a good size. Would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks for having us!! Holly Alex.

A lovely wee hostel! Great atmosphere, the staff were more than friendly. We played in the pool until 11pm drinking wine and listening to music. There's a few gorgeous beaches nearby to visit with shuttles to take you there, a game room with DVD's etc and a great kitchen to store a good shop. A definite choice of hostel!

We had a great time at this hostel! There's not tons to do in Port Macquarie, but the staff, who are all extremely friendly and helpful, will point out some of the things that you can do. The facilities were really good and also the atmosphere which was nice and cosy. We would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a few days just to relax and meet some cool people!

Friendly staff, chill veranda outside, and great organized outings to the koala hospital, brewery and vineyard.
