Awesome!!! The staff is always ready to help, and so kind. Beautiful house, clean and comfy. Nothing's bad about this place. I just loved it. The swimming-pool is my favourite place in the house, so chilly :))) and the backpackers in here seem to be cool too, amazing. They follow the rules. Does it mean this place inspire respect? Just try it, you'll love it too ;)

We had a wonderfull stay at this hostel. Very cosy- it gave us a home away from home feeling, and the fact that there was only rooms for a small number of guest at a time, you got close to people staying there. Nice rooms, nice bathrooms and cool, funky kitchen and porch where you enjoy your breakfast, dinner or beer with your new freinds :)

Really fun hostel! The guy who runs the place is so nice and the place has a great character. It\'s very unassuming but I was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful beaches and definitely a great place to stop on a drive up the coast!

Port Macquarie Backpackers was fantastic - a home away from home. Our host Tony was very knowledgable, friendly and accommodating and helped us very much with our onward plans, by recommending a great place in the blue mountains. The beds were comfortable, the showers were hot and with a decent amount of power to them and the kitchen facilities were great, clean and with more than enough gear for the number of people staying there. I had a lovely time and got some good sleep. Great location too.

I really like this hostel and Port Macquarie is a lovely seaside town worth visiting! The room was bright and colourful, kitchen and bathroom very clean. There is free breakfast in the morning, free internet and wifi (that you have to pay for but cheap!). Staff was helpful, nice pool!

Was not impressed. Manager was unfriendly when he picked us up in shuttle bus. Dorm had only filthy torn net curtain and filthy window,Didn't use pillow as pillowcase dirty with dribble stains.Free internet is one PC which has most websites blocked including Hostelworld.Cockcroaches on kitchen floor at night,No luggage storage - have to take rucksacks to Greyhound depot and pay to store there. No 24hr reception -new arrivals have to wait outside until reception opens at 8.30am. Annonymous female

Best hostel I have stayed in during my travels in Australia. The place is very, very clean. Tony and Vera (the owner & Manager) are such lovely people and made it feel like home. They always called me by name and asked how my day was. This makes a really big impact if you are travelling alone. The pool is great to unwind during those warm days or after a cycle on their free bikes. I would highly recommend staying here. No need to look elsewhere in Port Mac. Best Hostel. I could of stayed longer
