Very good location and helping staff. Short distance to city metro or buses. Walking distance to San Telmo for the greatest steaks in the world.

The bunk beds should be raised a bit higher so the persons sitting on the lower bunk may comfortably sit up in their beds and not have to hunch over or lean back. The stairs should also be fixed since there are a few loose steps that I also slipped on. I was also quite disappointed with the stained sheets I had to use, but dealt with anyways (since it wasn't a huge bother, but worth mentioning nonetheless).

Overall a nice hostel. The bathroom was very clean & the staff were helpful. The lack of air-conditioning made it hard to sleep & it didn't feel like there were was much space to just chill out. The breakfast was quite enjoyable too!

At always, perfect! The only thing that they have to improve, is the internet! Not the wireless, but more computers will help a lot! But, great staff, atmosphere, location, character, cleanliness, etcccccc!!! Recomend it hard!!!!

Don't go to this hostel if you wanna sleep at night 'cause there's a club in same building. You feel like being on the dance floor... but in night suit Otherwise the hostel is quite expensive but good located.

A very brief stay, but I was really impressed by Portal del Sur, especially the staff and the attractive decor. The only drawback was the noise from the nightclub nearby which went on all night, but there´s not much the hostel can do about that. Oh, and a couple more computers would be useful, the existing two were always busy!

Really enjoyed staying here, it was a great place to meet people. There was a lot of people travelling on their own and it was very friendly and social. The staff were helpful. The kitchen was ab it small but I didnt really cook so that was fine. Overall highly recommended and I am planning to go back.

Friendly staff, handy free internet, very small kitchen, rooms a bit too warm and one tip to sleep with your money locked away or under your pillow, because I lost my wallet overnight in a 8 dorm, which has put a big cloud over the whole experience.

I've staied in a private room. Was good, they cleaned the room and bathroom everyday. The staff was helpfull, good location. Just two questions, lot of noise from the street and high price, but all city was expensive.

I will never forget the wonderful moments I had and the great people I met over there. Definitely one of the best options to stay at when in Buenos Aires. Friendly atmosphere, comfortable facilities, though a couple things could be improved (computers and a few chairs could use a change)

I had such a nice stay at Portal del Sur ! The hostel is really pleasant to live in, really beautiful as well, and a great place to meet people. The big range of free activities offered to travellers is a real bonus, and the ones I tried were really worth it. The staff also made of my stay there a truly enjoyable experience. Thank you! P.S: That leak in the females' bathrooms really needs to be fixed !

Clean, ok hostel. Stayed in a double-room, those onto the street are extremly loud directly above a discotheque and busy street. Impossible to sleep without ear props.
