We were made to feel very welcome, we loved the fact the hostel was right on the beach. We loved the shop next door and the recommendations for the local pubs and food was spot on. Our only gripe would be the room was not fantastically clean and despite recognising its a very old building it could do with a bit of an update and some TLC. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and we loved the fact that breakfast was when you got up! Great coffee and great owners!

Enjoyed three nights here in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of room and two kitchens for self catering , with outdoor seating areas and tv lounge indoors. Feels like home really and Steve and Jane most welcoming and helpfull. Would certainly use again if in area, which is also to be recomended.

The location is very good, only three minutes and you are on the beach. Steve was always friendly to us and gave the best tip-off for our small trips around the location. The kitchen is a pleasant place to meet with other fellows. It's also suitable for families. For me was this the first backpackers accommodation :):)!Christine from Budapest

Nice little town. Steve and Jane very friendly and hospitable. The hostel is more like home stay. Breakfast is good .Jane bake muffin , cakes for sale. The muffin are very good and price is reasonable. The fish and chips next door is very popular.

This place is great, we had such a cool time here. The roof top terrace was a great place to chill out with a beer. Steve was very hospitable and had heaps of local knowledge that he was happy to share. Our first swim in England!

Steve and his wife were very kind to us and made my girlfriend and I feel very welcome and made us feel like we could treat it like our own home. We had some some washing to do and Steve kindly said to leave it from of the machine as there was a wash on. Steve very kindly washed and dried our clothes using his own drier as the hostels drier had broken the day before. Would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone as it was very homely and the location was excellent.

There was a large group of us on our holiday so there was at times a lot going on but Steve and Jane were extremely helpful at all times. The beach is literally down the road and right on a lovely coastal path. The facilities are more than adequate for every visitor even when the hostel's full. Overall everyone in our group was more than delighted with the whole experience. Very friendly staff and a lovely weekend getaway resort! 5 stars
