We can't say enough nice things about our experience at Porthtowan Backpackers, even if I have trouble saying the name itsself! For 5 travelling Aussies in a brightly painted van it was a home away from home. Steve and Jane have now become our Cornewll surrogate family, they looked after us with comfy rooms at unbeatable prices and were always ready to help with heaps of information. There are communal kitchen areas and lounge but the highlight was the fresh bread at breakfast!

Very nice accomodation, in a good position. Very friendly owners, clean room and nice breakfast. I would say it's more a family accomodation rather than a hostel. Totally recommended.

Alluminum beda re real noisy and disturbs others sleep a lott.. I would definetly suggest to improve the bed quality. We expect to have a proper sleep to enjoy the holiday.

The owners were very friendly and happy to help. Place was very cute and in an awesome location near the beach. We all had a good nights sleep in the beds which were really comfortable. Bathroom floor was fairly sandy but is probably expected in a beach town!
