Isn't a traditional hostel, but is a fine option to stay.

Far away from downtown. They (unexpectedly) charge you $5 for sheets and pillow. Very poor hygienic condition. There are people long-term living in the surrounding rooms that are certainly interesting if you want to experience real american life but a bit "crazy" (you hear them screaming in the middle of the night, fighting, etc) I appreciated very much the effort of the woman who runs the pensione (she is very accommodating and sweet) but definitely for the price they charge you it is not worth

Even for the "cheap price" we paid, it's bad. Everything is so dirty, the bathroom is revolting. There was even a beetle in my bed. We had to pay 5$ each for sheets and that didn't even include a pillow! There's no key to the room, only one to the front door, which is open most of the time,so anyone could basically walk in and roam through our stuff. There were a number of weird people, including a homeless woman in a bathing suit retching in the court early in the morning. NOT a good experience.

I'll keep this short. No linens, pillows, blankets and an intense stench of cat pee.

we booked for 3 nights but already after 5 minutes we knew that we are not going to stay in this hostel. it was horrible. it smelled like in a public washrooms. the rooms were dirty and the blankets stunk. don't trust the pictures at all. perhaps they were taken 200 years ago but the hostel is no in a really bad shape. the receptionist is friendly but that is the only thing that is okay in this hostel. i don't wish my enemy to have to stay in this hostel!
