A bit too dark and not so clean, also too far away from any interesting spots and close to a ńoisy street, but decorations, athmosphere, breakfast, staff, heaters - all that was fine. Also comparing to other places in Portugal it was quite cheap, so I guess you can't have everything.

Best hostel ever! It has everything: PARKING, towels, WiFi, kitchen, great breakfast, hot water, good location (walking distance to the city center), shampoo!..... The staff is great, specially Ronaldo. The building is beautiful, decorated with good taste. The breakfast is very good ( cafe, cheese, jam, butter, cereals, te, milk...) served in a lovely room. I loved the place!

The Porto Riad is a very nice hostel overall and I would recommend it to other travelers. The room I was in (a single, shared bathroom) was ok, the shared bathroom was just across the hall and I seemed to be the only one using it. The bed was a nightmare, however, with a chunky mattress filled with reinforced concrete bits and steel springs sticking out everywhere. Besides that, every move in the bed resulted in an extremely loud creaking. Breakfast was good!

In our room there was hot water for just one bath... the next person had to wait a long time before it came again... But other than that the hostel was great!!
