A friendly comfortable enviornment, loved staying there. I choose the hostel over a hotel and I definatly made the right choice.

The hostel was not very nice, quite far away from the town center. At night a few drunk builders hang around. The bed was quite comfy but it was very loud late at night.

We are disappointed that you did not enjoy your stay with us, but the only comment that was made to us at the time, was the distance from the town centre. The location of our hostel is quite clearly stated on the Hosteworld website and prior arrangements were made for a free pickup from the bus station. Although we were entitled to, we did not charge any cancellation fee when the booking was changed from 3 nights to 1 night, without any notice. As for being noisy,having checked back through the bookings for the night of your stay, we were not very busy and we recall you sitting by the log fire, reading for most of the night. Unless complaints of any kind are communicated to Hostel owners, at the time, it is impossible to address the concerns.

The management of the hostel was left in the hands of a 19 year old girl who worked for accommodation. I had to move out of my room and into another a couple of times. And was placed in a room with a man who tryed a little bit to hard to get close to the younger girls.

Pretty portside location, as the name implies but its quite a hike from downtown Napier. Staff weren't overly helpful or inviting. Facilities were good.
