Housed in an Art-Nouveau building in the heart of the city, Portus Istanbul is a unique establishment designed and managed by travellers just like our guests. Our main goal is to provide a feeling of comfort and safety for our international visitors, who are in search of a 'hostel with a touch'.
Portus features 10 rooms including a four bed dorm, 3 triple rooms with shared bath room, 3 double or twin rooms with shared bathroom, and 3 double rooms with private bath rooms.
New!!! We serve a fresh & filling Turkish brekfast with differing varieties for every day.
On top of it, free tea and coffee can be enjoyed throughout the day. Our guests can also make use of the fully equipped, modern communal kitchen, one of the most appreciated feature of our guests! For your convenience, there is a supermarket across the street as well as plenty of great restaurants nearby.
We are located in a quiet street right by the lively Galata Port, in Istanbul's prime starting point for tours in all directions by foot, by ship, by metro-tram and by bus.
Decorated with modern art, all of our air-conditioned rooms offer free Wi-Fi, adjustable heating system, iPod docking station, hair dryer and a safety box.
At the 24-hour front desk, you can find luggage storage and book a shuttle service to Ataturk or Sabiha Gken Airport. Private parking is also available.

This hostel is great. The staff is very nice, helpful and friendly. They make you feel like home. Next to the hostel is a supermarket, which is opened 7days a week til 9pm. the rooms are very private. Me and my boyfreind just shared a corridor that had a seperate shower and restroom, with an other couple. The only negative point is that the shower water is not hot, only lukewarm. But in summer you can live with that. I really recommend that hostel.
