Fantastic location! Nice clean room and bathrooms. The woman at the front desk didn't know basic information such as the hostel's zip code, though, so she wasn't much help in arranging any plans. She also didn't tell us that the hostel had a kitchen on another floor, so we never took advantage of that. But overall, cute place in the best location in Old San Juan! Bring earplugs for tye thin walls and you'll be fine.

The location is PERFECT if you are looking for culture, nightlife, and history! The staff really needs to be more welcoming to visitors. For example, provide more information on things to do in the city and be ready to provide suggestions on places to eat, beaches to visit, bars, etc. Would I stay there again? DEFINITELY. You cannot beat the price or the location!!!!

The location is perfect. I took buses from the airport and the bus terminal is just right next to the plaza, where the hostel locates right at the back of Columbus status. I enjoyed the view and the breeze from the balcony every morning :)

Posada San Fransisco is a beautiful guesthouse with an amazing view and location. It is, however, just the bare minimum, but I would definitely consider staying here again.

My private room was very small, but it had an AC and fridge and the hostel has SIX large, comfortable common rooms (two with full kitchens), and there were plenty of bathrooms so never a wait for a shower. And the price in the old city can't be beat.

I loved my stay at Posada San Francisco. Yes, the rooms are basic, but the kitchens are enormous, the cleaning staff works around the clock, and the view from the many balconies cannot be beat. Travelers of all ages were respectful and clean--this is not a party hostel, but there were still a lot of opportunities to speak to other travelers, hang out with wine on the gorgeous balconies, and the staff was quick with recommendations for day trips. Best value in San Juan!

Well-secured, strategically located in the entrance to old San Juan, walking distance to all of what old San Juan has to offer. Staff is cordial and eager to assist, always available via phone even during late hours. The dorms were spacious and didn't really have to wait for bathroom. Overall, a great value for the price, security and location!

I would of liked to have been attended a bit faster. I spent time waiting for someone else and they work talking much more than completing the process. I arrived around 4pm and wanted to be seen quickly so that I could get out and discover the city before the sun went down.

stayed here the night before our cruise. we had a pleasant stay. i was a little nervous when we pulled up as i was exhausted and there was a pretty loud bar next door, but i didnt hear them once. we booked the standard twin private room. it was par for the course as far as hostel rooms go. the location was perfect. walking distance to many restaurants and cafes. walking distance to the cruise terminal. i would definitely recommend Posada and would stay there again if in PR.

Loved it! Perfect location, extremely clean and well-run. The balconies cannot be beat. It's more like a European guest house than an American hotel, and people who left negative review clearly were expecting the latter despite the description being the former.

Cups or even jars would be greatly appreciated for the thirsty traveler; plastic bedding + 88*F nights = lots of tossing and turning, sweating while AC is blasting. A PhD seems to be required to turn on the hot water in some of the 4th floor bathrooms.

I staff is very helpful. The room spare but fine. Would like a table and lamp in the rooms. The location is superb. The view from the balconies are a treat and a great way to enjoy evening and other moments instead of sitting in the room.
