We walked there guided by our Garmin (open streetmap) in the night - the neighbourhood didn't look to nice but it's actually ok. It's approx. a 15min (2,2 km) walk to the touristy centre/beach. The lady of service was very kind and helped us get a taxi at night. The facilities are clean and quite ok and safe as they lock the front door during the night. You have a TV with local channels and a fan in your room (and AC in others as well). They further have moscito nets infront of all windows.

Perfectly servicable. Friendly enough staff but it's an unpleasant 25 minute walk to 5th avenue. Very relaxed attitude from the staff.
