The room I stayed in was quite pleasant for the price. It was small, but I didn't mind at all--especially considering the very spacious/comfy bed! There was a TV and a coffee maker; I used neither. The room actually had its own private bathroom--I had expected to share one. A nice surprise! The bathroom was clean and in perfect working order. The hotel's location was convenient, very near Union Square. Definitely check out the cafe ("Honey Honey") next door.

It was a busy week in SFO as there's a convention going on and we come across Post Hotel as most of the Hotels are fully booked. To my surprise, we like the room as it has the classy ol' skool feel with the lift that's mostly been seen on tv or movies. The view from the window was great, giving you a magnificent feel of city! The staff was friendly and constantly checking with us if we needed any help. Indeed these little touch make the whole experience worthwhile!

Booked a room at the Post for New Years Eve. We we're expecting hostel quality, but were pleasantly surprised by how hotel-ish it was! Our 2nd floor double bed private (en-suite) was tastefully updated with a super-comfy bed, coffee maker, name-brand toiletries, ample storage and decadent, futuristic showerhead. The hotel is maybe a 5 minute walk to the heart of Union Square, but far enough away to feel cozy and chill. The Honey Honey Crepery next door is fantastic.
