My issue isnt so much that the hostel was removed so far the town (which, beware, it is), but more so that the Hostel doesnt have the facilities to account for this distance. No guest fridge or kitchen, no major common areas, and the hostel compound itself doesnt quite offer the "chilled out" atmosphere it advertises, particularly for a town like Lencois. However, the staff more than compensated for these faults in being one of the friendliest hostel teams I've ever stayed with. Big ups to Cesar

Great time at the Chill Out. Michael & Cesar are real cool. Good chatting to them. A walk from town, but not that far and safe; even late at night. Pousada is close to a trail leading to a great pool for swimming. Michael got me to the bus on time on the back of his bike and organised a great day canoe / waterfall trip with Leons. Would go back if back in Lencois.

The best thing about Pousada Chill Out is its multilingual and incredible helpful owner Michael. He is a character, with amazing stories, seems to know everyone in town, and if you get to spend some time with him, you will get to know a few characters in Lencois also. He goes out of his way to be helpful. The hostel is a little outside town, up a hill, but it is en route to some of the most accessible hikes, so its in the right direction. Looking forward to returning. Obrigado!

Chill Out is a wonderful hostel located right next to the entrances of several Chapada trails and a very short walk away from the city center. We had a transfer from the bus station when we arrived at 5:30am and were allowed to sleep for a bit before having a big, delicious breakfast and heading out for our hike. We also were able to shower after check-out which is great after spending the day hiking & swimming. The staff was very friendly. Lockers in the room would've been nice.

A really great hostel and we loved our stay. It has a great atmosphere and the staff was great, trying to help us when we needed something and served good breakfast. Though the second day I felt really bad after the breakfast, throwing up the hole day. Please try and keep all food fresh cause it destroyed the "big travel day" for me. We got travel information right away which was great, though it was sad that the staff did not speak english.

Nice location/house and nice rooms (we had a double room), which were well equipped and clean. Very caring and nice portuguese speaking staff, whose prepared the best breakfast within all our journey. There was as well one guy (staff), who is speaking english, but he is not really attentive. 1 or 2 more hammocks would be great! ;-) ... Overall a really recommendable pousada, which is worth to stay!

As the name implies, Pousada Chill Out is the perfect place to relax after exploring Chapada Diamantinha all day. The place has a great atmosphere, fantastic breakfast, and a very friendly and helpful owner. This is definitely the place to stay in Lencois if you're looking for a quiet retreat.

Seems it was a good hostel some time ago, but now it's bad.

We stayed in the hostel in a double room 3 nights. We liked: Very quiet place. Good breakfast. We didn't like: Location outside of the town, by walk up the hill to hostel from central plaza are 15-20min, not 10. The bin in the bathroom was not empty as we arrived and wasn't cleaned out during our stay. The pickup from bus station was not free (10R).

The only service aspect lacking was daily looking after of the rooms. All other areas were great and the hospitality was fantastic.

Very friendly atmosphere and a place where to really hang/chill out. Perfectly situated nearby the nationalpark for my 5-day-trekking. I will definately come back because of the good service, nice rooms and the hostels hospittalbe manager Michael. Furthermore there´s a nice breakfast with freshly squeezed juice of your choice and eggs any style you prefer. Good start for a trekking. I can truly recommend this hostel to every age group and any kind of traveller.

Made to feel very welcome at this relaxed and friendly hostel. Day trips were easily organised via the hostel and both the breakfast and food from the restaurant in the evening were tasty.
