Our small ecological organization specializing in tours into the Pantanal, run by Joel Souza wildlife ecologist and committed conservationist, born and raised in the area descendent of indigenous people. Joel is one of the pioneers, guiding as far back 1984.

The Pousada Ecoverde was the perfect base for our explorations of the Pantanal and the Chapada dos Guimaraes. We were three friends from London backpacking though Brazil with limited time and budget. Joel, his sons and employees went out of their way to make us feel at home. Our room was a good large size, the beds comfortable, the hostel was clean and well presented with lots of character unlike so many other hostels. The breakfast was also very nice. We have given the hostel top marks.
