Very cosy hostel. Our room was very spacious (double ensuite). The breakfast is really good. Very friendly german owner. It's all very clean, the staff is cleaning up everything regularly. The only bad things for us was the toilet flush in our room which was very weak (sometimes it was just too weak, and we are not talking about toilet paper ;-) ) and the mattresses should be replaced, they were quite uncomfortable. But otherwise we can recommend this hostel!

I really enjoyed my time here. The place is beautiful, a lot of green, close to a river, totally immersed into the nature. Breakfast is very nice, a lot to choose from and staff as well is very friendly and helpful. Only thing I really did not like, I think I had bedbugs because at the end of my stay, I got terrible bites all over my legs, not from mosquitos for sure.

Our whole stay was overshadowed with tremendous bites all over our legs. We don't know whether these are bed bugs or mosquitos of some kind, but they turn into real wounds. We even needed to go to hospital to have these itchy bites checked. As we only got these at night, we recommend the owner to have the beds checked. At the entrance of our room, there was also a nest hanging of insects of some kind.

We spent two nights at this lovely pousada. On arrival we had to carry our suitcases up an uphill path but when we got there it was worth it, and actually without suitcases the walk is short. Beautiful surroundings with a little river going past the rooms, friendly staff, lovely rooms with nice bathrooms, everything clean and working. Every room has its own hammock outside, very relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend a couple going to Ilha grande to stay here.

The wireless router could be of better quality. Better range and capacity of connected users. At several occasions I was not able to use the network when other guests were using it. Many older routers can host 5 users, while a modern one can host 255.

The Pousada and their host was a very welcoming, we ha a great time. Three tiny remarks though: the bed was not very comfortable, the door was hard to close and since we were located right at the entrance of the pousada it's not very reassuring, although its pretty safe in the neighborhood. It's a shame there is no solution to cook or warm up a little food. After a few weeks of traveling one enjoys not eating out all the time + if you have left overs its useful! :) thanks Claus! Cozy surrounding since there is a lot of trees and green but it costs to much. We had many roaches in our room. The owners/staff we didnt even see besides from the three minutes when we arrived and were not even signed in but just handed a key. Even trying to contact then didnt work since they we never there.

This place is amazing! I would recommend anyone who is going to Ihla Grande to stay there. It is a little paradise within the island of paradise. I loved it. I highly recommend.

You have to climb a little to get to the hostel but the place is very nice and beautiful. The breakfast is really good. The only thing is that the owner is sometimes difficult to find because he also take care of a restaurent.

Excellent accomodation, nice common garden area, large 2-4 bed rooms with own shower and toilet, very high standart, limited internet connectivity (as on the whole Isla Grande), no shared kitchen.
