Absolutely stunning hostel, beautifully hidden away. The owner is really lovely and friendly and the breakfast is great. We wanted o stay longer at this place but unfortunately there weren't any rooms. It's a perfect little retreat.
Ups: *Very friendly and informative receptionist, told us about all the available tours on the island and reserved them for us. *Cleaning staff friendly *Relaxed environment with a lot of plants, little river, cats, birds and a rabbit . Downs: *Far away from the cost, about 6 o more blocks on a steep slope *Security on the hostel seems flaky (doors and windows open easily) although the told us there are almost never robberies on the island *No kitchen use allowed *breakfast a little small
More like a hotel than a hostel. Maria was very helpful and managed to sort an extra night for us here. Breakfast is good, plenty of fruit and cake and free coffee. Only downside to this place is the walk to it. It quite far off the beach and up and a bit of a hill, but does feel like your in the jungle which iS nice touch. Would defiantly recommend this place if you want to relax and sit back for a few days.
The garden is what will make you remember this hostel- it's absolutely great. They have about 10 cats and a rabbit living in it. The rest is just in normal hostel standards - the facilities are a bit old, but clean, breakfast is fine. Maria the receptionist is a very friendly person. The hostel is located at the end of the village but it's about 10 minutes walk, so we were pleased with our choice
Nice hostel, located a little bit up on a hill, from the peer and main road, it is a walk of apr. 10 minutes. Nice hostel, staff is totally friendly, breakfast definitely better than in any other hostel visited in South America. Go there and relax in a cosy atmosphere.
The Hostel/Pousada is really nice. It is not in the center but easy to reach. Really friendly staff and clean.
This is a wonderful spot in the jungle! With your luggage, it is quite a walk up from the dock, but once you are there it is totally worth it. We messed up with our booking, but they were able to put my cousin and I in a 5 bed room and pay for only a 2 bed room (and not let any strangers stay in like a hostel). The breakfast is fabulous and they have coffee and water set out whenever you want it. Maria is a sweet young lady who speaks Portugese, Spanish, and English and was INCREDIBLY helpful!
