The hostel was closed. Door shut. No one answered for 30 minutes and we even had the shop owner next door call the hostel owner on her cell phone and no answer. We had to find another nearby hostel (Hostel Patua), which was pretty good and which we would recommend. We went back multiple times that week and they still had their doors shut. We e-mailed the day before we arrived and have still received no reply. Don't waste your money.

I've traveled to 26 different countries and stayed in many Hostels; this was by far the worst experience I ever had! The manager didn't wake until 1pm every day so checking in or finding someone working was virtually impossible. The rooms were dirty and moldy. They wanted all the money upfront (we tried to check out 3 days early due to the situation and couldn't find anyone working there for 2 days straight). We actually got locked in our room due to a faulty door knob. Nightmare!!!

You may be better suited finding a garbage dump and sleeping next to that on a cobblestone road. We arrived to a shirtless owner/employee who had a butterfly bandage between his eyes who apologized for not having our requested rooms available which we had booked about 6 months in advance. He then placed us in a room in which the stench was so horrible, we immediately had headaches due to the horrible sewage type odor that was prevalent. We left and booked another room elsewhere.

Seemed a bit disorganised and the facilities weren't too flash. The location was very good though (right in the middle of the old town).

Hi It clearly seemed the person running the hostel was not the usual owner / manager and had no idea on how to run a hostel. The hostel was unclean and most of services that they claimed to have either did not exist (breakfast) or didn't work (internet). The main staff member had no knowledge of our booking. Ben

Great location & we had a reasonable room with good facilities. Not the cleanest of places.
