Everyone was wonderful and the breakfast and dinner were amazing!

Great hostel. Everything was ok, specially the staff, always very nice and helpful. Dorm are spacious and breakfast is really good.

Staff (especially the kitchen ladies) was really nice and helpful. Location is not very good if you're driving, it is on a street with difficult access: too many big stones (my Honda Civic could barely make it, and I preferred to leave it on a nearby street) and a very steep ramp to get into the garage. If you're walking it's really good, away from the hustle and bustle yet close to the city center. Room was clean and was tended everyday. However, the shared bathroom tended to be messy.

Nice hostel with great breakfast. Just a few minutes from the center, so really calm area. Gave good information about trips even though we did not use their agency.

Really nice hostel, nice and helpful staff. Totally recommend!

I have been in Pousada Dos Duendes for 3 days, it was a nice stayed there, good team and vibes by the people are working there. the breakfast was full of delicious food!! and they have a good partner ship with the guides of the Chapada Diamantina. the excursions and trip tour was really well done and well prepare with a very cool and interesting guide that love his job and sharing a lot about the place!! I will come back there definitely!! but to reach the pousada was not easy to find.

It was quite hard to find the hostel, even using Google maps. Tip: Look up! Their sign is painted at the top of the building and since it's located at a narrow street you won't find the place by looking straight ahead. Really good breakfast and nice people to talk to, always willing to give info on the touristic spots of the area. Another tip is to contact guides directly with the associations, not the agencies - that's a lot cheaper, specially if you're taking a car there.

The tours (H2O Tours) that are run from the pousada are not competitively priced with the other tour companies down in the centre. They could do with sorting that out. And to their advantage H2O Tours need to produce a pamphlet so that their guests can have an idea of what's on offer without delay regardless of what time they arrive.

In lencois we met some great people at the hostel which made our stay really enjoyable. We stayed in a three bed dorm and found that the mattresses were filthy. We were happy to leave without catching bed bugs. Breakfast was great; fruit, yoghurt, bread, tea and coffee. The hostel is linked to h2o tour group and they offered something every day. The hostel itself is a bit of a hike from the middle of town (15min uphill). The staff made mistakes with the room we booked on hostel world.

the staff was very helpful with choosing tours for chapada diamantina (eventhough we found the same tour cheaper else where). the lunchbox was poor, but breakfast offered various typical food. the place is hard to find, but let them pick you up from the busstation, it would be only 15 minutes by walking, but uphill and easy to get lost.

staff was very friendly. i can recommend this hostel.

Loved the location - a little secluded and quiet from the city center. Great artwork on the walls and hammocks were great everywhere.

Very little English speaking staff. Made things difficult.

Breakfast was ok. Bagged lunch expensive, but big. Tours are more expensive than offered in other parts of the town. Far walk (relitavley) from the center of town...but it is a safe walk. They have a dog that was chained up for most of the time that I was there (3 nights) which I thought was a bit cruel. Kitchen open for guests did not have supplies for cleaning dishes. Lots of space to hang out during the day/night. Good sized rooms. Computer available for use with good WiFi.

Bit of a walk from the town but well worth it. Lovely hostel with great chill out area and eating space. Fantastic breakfast with lots of variety and pao de queijo!! Hostel has own travel agency and were very helpful in organising our trip. Defo recommend it.

we weren t so impressed with the place and i wonder even why it was a lonley planet tipp. it was ok. we had a few language problems. i ve sent an email beforehand to ask them about tours and the location and if its a save place. they replied in a bad english and said that they will pick us up and we can go on a tour if we want to. at the end nobody picked us up and we had lots of stress the next morning to find a tour for us. but i still guess it s ok u can't expect that everbody speaks english

Pousada dos Duendes is an amazing place for relaxing, I recommend to everyone to stay in this lovely pousada. The breakfast was the best I ever had in Brazil and the stuff is very friendly. Sometimes it was a bit hard to speak to the staff at the reception, because their English was not good enough.

nice hostel who look after you well , puma the guide is the man , would recommend to ask for puma to go on a 3 day hike , was totally awesome

so we stayed there 4 nights and is was really nice and relaxing. breakfast was one of the best. warm showers. hammocks to chill. internet. people even arrived at 5 am and could already have a nap in their bed. staff is awesome and helps with trips. maybe you guys should change the beer to brahma or skol;)
