A good hostel well worth the money. Very helpful and friendly staff, even though just one girl speaks English. A bit off the city centre but you soon learn how to get there, takes about 20-25 minutes, by metro and bus.

No insonorisation, we hear everything even the people speaking on the other floor. You should consider there is no kitchen, only a small fridge, a dirty microwave, dishes but no fork/spoon/knife (have been stolen and they don't want to buy other ones), only one small archaic stove to cook (take 2 hours to cook pasta). No toaster, no oven, no electrical kettle. The only girl who speak english is nice but exhausted (always working), the man who seems to be the manager always shout at staff member.

This hostel is characterised only by what it lacks: kitchen facilities are terrible (eg. 1 small fridge, 2 hot plates, and 1 knife for 30 people), toilet paper is scarce at best, hot water is often luke warm, atmosphere is non existent (the building must have been a hospital or aged care facility), it's on the edge of town (a bus and 30 minute train from the centre), internet does not work in rooms nor anywhere at all after 11pm, electricity would cut out frequently, and it was quite dirty.

It was a really nice place and the staff was very helpful. Only problem was that it was a bit out of the city.

Prima Base Hostel was a little out of the way, but for the price, it was well worth it. I did little more than spend the night, and the hostel provided what I needed - a bed to sleep in. It wasn't the best hostel I've stayed at, but I wasn't expecting much.
