There was a strong smell of tobacco in the hotel as some clients smoked in their rooms. The hotel should enforce the no-smoking policy as this can be off putting to prospective guests.

The staff were very friendly, but BB in need of urgent update. Burn holes in net curtains, curtains that do not meet, stale smell of smoke, leaking towel rail, dark, cold and depressing.

Birmingham ia one of the few large towns in the UK that has no hostel run by the Youth Hostels Association. I chose this hotel as the nearest equivalent, and was pleased by it.

The staff member we met was absolutely fantastic. Extremely friendly and helpful- really going out of his way to give us amazing service. Breakfast was also good and the room was comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel because it was great value for money with a wonderful host.

I was made most welcome, the staff were very helpful and friendly. This is a small family run hotel which provided exactly what I needed for a brief stay in Birmingham at a very reasonable price
