Brett was very helpful during our stay. Despite being outside of Heraklion, we were still able to take a bus in and see everything we wanted. Great hotel, most relaxing part of our trip. Is situated 8km outside of Heraklion meaning a bus trip or taxi in. Beware during low season, we waited over 1.5hrs on three or four occasions for an "hourly" bus. In high seson they're apparently very frequent. Excellent food in the restaurant downstairs. great cold swimming pool. The food is average, and the staff is nice. I felt at home. The bus to Heraklion can take a long time. Closer to the east (end) runway of the airport than it is to the terminal. If you want to use this hotel to be close to the airport choose an afternoon departure. It takes 1 hour and ten minutes to walk the 5 to 7 KM from the counter of the hotel to the ticket counter of the airport terminal. If you have to hike, make sure you walk on the airport side of the highway and use the offramp at the first overpass. Room has mini-fridge. It was nice for the price I paid. Very basic, but it had clean sheets and a clean bathroom. Its a nice place for single travelers or younger people. There is a good pastry shop across the street. The bus to heraklion is easy to catch, it runs about every 30 mins (the number 7).
