I highly recommend this hostel if you're staying in Stone Town! Free wifi is included -- and it not only functions 24/7 but is faster than much of what i've encountered in Africa. The upstairs common room is charming and offers nice breezes on hot days. Breakfast of fresh fruit and juice well as toast and eggs is included. The location is in easy walking distance of all of the highlights of Stone Town (as well as the ferry dock) but isn't in the noisy heart. Staff is friendly and responsive.

Princess Salme Inn is great! Nearby to Stonetown but still quite cheap AND it has free wi-fi (a bit spotty at times, but it works). Also the breakfast in the morning is fantastic (and included in the price--woo). Rooms are kind of small and are pretty basic, but they're clean and have everything you need. Good place to stay in Zanzibar, for sure.

Brilliant hotel. Beautiful room, good price, great breakfast (included), beautiful roof terrace with self-cooking kitchen, free unlimited wifi and drinks at very reasonable prices, coffee and tea are free. With so much included in the price, it ends up cheaper than most dorms in hostel. Helpful and friendly staff. I wouldn't look further.

Good for what you pay, staff look after you, nice rooftop bar and breakfast. Choose this place over Malindi Guesthouse.

We enjoyed our stay at Princess Salme. Staff was very helpful in arranging spice tour, transport and other info. The breakfast was excellent and we really appreciated having the water/beer fridge available. Our room was clean and good value. It is a little off the beaten track , but we always felt safe.
