Was a great place to stay at. It was relaxing, clean, and the staff and other guests were great!

This nice hostel is not located in the citycenter but it's worth staying there. They have a BIG clean swimming pool, very nice staff, a "three times a day" shuttle 7am, noon, and 7 pm. They have a small restaurant with some good food. You can drink something in the bar and if you want, a 2 dollar taxi brings you to town. I booked for 2 days, and ended up staying more than one week!

The free shuttle was good but you still end up paying for a taxi or two at some point which slightly lowers the value for money aspect. The set up was great with a great pool though! Sometimes it was difficult to get hold of staff in the office and they didn't always speak English (not that they should have to!) which made things a bit tricky at times (e.g. with a mix up when they thought I was someone else who hadn't paid). Would be good if there were lockers for valuables.

I had a nice stay. The owners could be a bit more friendly, but the view from the rooms is very nice, the pool was very clean and the rest of the stuff was friendly. It's outside of Bocas Town and I enjoyed the silence, just hearing the ocean.

Overall I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very helpful and it was very pretty. I walked to town twice but had the option of taking the shuttle or taxis. It was nice being able to use the kayaks. Two things that could be improved were the internet service (the other service provider works way better) c and the cooking area. It was very small and there were few pots +pans and diish towels...... . and it was dirty (although that was also because of the people using the kitchen)

We stayed 2nights at pukalini and we totally loved it!! The owners are very nice and friendly! The hostel is spot clean and they have new big rooms with all facilities. Location is a bit out of town but they have a great pool. (Not many hotels/hostels have a pool at bocas) One of the best places were we stayed in panama!!

Staff where very rude and did not seem like they wanted to help. Beds where very uncomfortable and the girl I was travelling with got bed bugs. Kitchen didn't have anything to eat off (plates, bowls etc) and there is no place to put your stuff e.g. lockers. Shuttle was no help as it only runs 3 times per day.

Good hostel, a bit far from town but close to beach. Great with the pool and sun chairs, nice bar, dining area and good there is a kitchen for guests.

great hostel with pool and everything you need. Only $2 cab (p.p) into town, too far to walk but bike ride is no problem and three free shuttles per day makes it no problem. Staying in town means close to many food options and all tours, but staying at Pukalani means close to water and you have your own swimming pool. Juan will help out anyway he can!

I loved my stay here. it is 5km from the centre but easy to flag a $2 US taxi down or get the free shuttle and so laid back and quiet. Free use of the pool, kayaks, hammocks, cable tv and on the beach was excellent. only downside is the pool could do with being cleaned each morning, apart from that there was nothing to fault.

Good location, right on the beach and away from the busyness of town, yet just a two minute ride into town. Good facilites with a scenic pool setting and a bar/rec' area right on the water.

Nicest dorm on our 4 week CA trip: only 6 beds, *AC*, bathroom, *hot* shower, second sink and counter area, closet. Hostel: shared kitchen, on the ocean, *nice* pool table, hammocks, bar with food. Re "rude" staff reviews: Juan and family were always nice. E.g. 1st day we arrived late and hungry: they reopened the kitchen and made us burgers! So, go to the Hilton if you want the staff to kiss your ass. But, if you want to stay on the ocean with *real* people for $15/night, stay here.

Although the hostel advertises a shuttle servise, this is nonsense. It leaves at 7am, noon and 7pm and whenever the owner is going to town. The town is 1 hour walk but there are taxis which cost 1 dollar US. You can pick these up on the road or the owner will ring one for you. The owner has an attitude problem an talks down to you if he doesnt like what you say. There is a sign about the shuttle saying --that petrol costs 6 dollars, so use your head -- petrol costs 3.50
