We had a very nice stay at puma backpackers! Good kitchen! Nice tv area and good films! The staff was very helpfull and friendly. They even helped us to the bus terminal when there wasn't any taxies.

Nice hot showers, comfy beds, and nice family/staff. Was a bit out of the way, but nice and quiet at night. 6 soles from the bus station. They answered all our questions and helped us book and islands tour and our bus to Arequipa. Defnitely make sure to do the overnight to Amantani!

My review is based on a very brief stay. It certainly wasn't terrible, but if you're looking for a more lively, central experience, you may be happier somewhere else. I arrived early in the evening, and had to walk up a dirt road, in an almost industrial-looking area, further outside town than many of the other hostels. I knocked for quite a while before anyone answered. I was the only guest, so zero atmosphere. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, and I had a good night's sleep. Decent breakfast.

Had a lovely stay here just one night passing through but it was perfect! The rooms were a little chilly but a lovely family set up, a computer and tv in a cute little common area. It's a bit of a trek back uphill from the town but taxis are cheap!

Couldn't sit up in bed. Internet didn't work for extended periods. Wouldn't go there again

It felt more like a homestay than a hostel. I felt very at home and the place was very clean and the owners very friendly, like a mother and father. They helped with everything and made sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. I would highly reccomend this hostel.

Be careful the husband and wife will try to screw you over with prices, but the service is good....some how. just keep your eyes open. To many weird vibes coming from that place.

This is a very quiet hostel that has a bed and breakfast feel to it. The staff is very friendly but there is a barrier if you dont speak spanish. There is hot water, a nice breakfast, and its localed right above the center of Puno. Walking back to the hostel can be difficult because its a steep hill.

Quiet, clean, homey atmosphere. The owners were lovely, despite te slight language barrier they eagerly anticipated and aided our every need. Very close to the plaza de Armas, tucked away on a quieter street. NOT a party hostel, this was a great spot to hang out and acclimatize to altitude in peace. Lovely complimentary pancake breakfast, it was nice to have something other than buns and jam for a change. Tv room was great, awesome shower, really neat and tidy, wi-fi was consistent too!
