Located two blocks from the beach and offering awesome bar-b-qs, homemade pasta nights, and the comfiest beds in town, Punto Berro is a cozy and friendly hostel! Our young and helpful staff is here to make sure you have the best experience possible in our beautiful home town of Montevideo.
We are located in Pocitos, one of the most well known and safest neighborhoods in the city, where buzzing urban living mixes with tranquillity. The supermarket, money exchange, cinema, and rental car company are all within a three block radius of the hostel. Our neighbourhood is also known for its excellent restaurants and shopping, and bars and clubs are all within walking distance of the hostel.
We are a short 10 minutes by bus from the international bus terminal and a 15 minute bus ride from the central business district... or you can rent one of our cruiser bikes and enjoy a leisurely 30 minute ride into downtown via the boardwalk!
We have private and dorm rooms with lots of natural light and heat/AC, plenty of communal space, a sunny patio, and Wi-Fi. Come and join us to relax in the hammoc in our quiet backyard, have a mojito at our bar, take a stroll along the beach, and slip into the rhythm of laid back Uruguayan lifestyle!

The place was generally dirty with no atmosphere. Plus they were paining at the time which in the long term is a good thing to improve the look of it, but they should have put an update on the website to warn people. Also, i booked a bed in a 3 bedroom room but when arrived this was taken and they put me a 6 bed dorm room that had 3 blokes in it. Not their fault entirely as i only booked last minute, but they whole place was generally very unclean and not very friendly at all.
