The tall american girl was rude and acted as if we were an impasition (not very helpful). the shower broke, the airconditioning broke, breakfast was chuncks of bread and a broken toaster, jam , crusty margerine, good coffee, bad juice and not enough fruit. our room was not cleaned in two days, lots of stairs, not close to much but town. On a steep hill with lots of noisy , smokey traffic.

Don't stay here, not worth the price. The dirtiest hostel I've stayed in and I have stayed in several. There were fleas and nothing was at all clean. There is no hot water. We met plenty of other backpackers from all over the world and the experienced ones all agreed they would not stay here again. Quepos, is a dirty little town with little redeeming qualities anyways. The staff here IS very cool and friendly. But there are MUCH better hostels for cheaper just down the road in Manuel Antonio.

The Pura Vida Hostel is a very nice hostel for backpackers. Our room was very small, but clean and we had a fan in the room. The bathroom was clean, too, but the water was not hot, which was okay, because it was a very hot day anyway. The breakfast was not filling, but a nice starter. Altogether we liked the atmosphere and the big, big couches for relaxing!
