Great location to the beach for surfing and local spots. Mariam was an amazing host and is creating herself a real nice hostel. A great pura vida environment and an amazing group of people there to help (Paul and Rebecca). They are building more dorms and other great additions as well. I would definitely come back especially to see the progress in renovations. Highly recommend this relaxing hostel.

On the whole a decent little place to crash tucked away from the main buzz of the town yet only a few minutes walk from the beach. Good all round set up. The fact that the water supplier is turning off the water between 11pm and 7am seems a little questionable with other places in town having no issues.

Great little hostel! Staff was incredibly friendly, location was great, and facilities were fairly up to date. There was a very chilled vibe around the whole hostel and it was a great place to stay for a few days!

Met a great group of travelers which was awesome. The hostel was kept clean and the vibe is good. My main complaint was that the windows didn't close so you could hear everyone talking outside late at night and in the early hours in the morning.

Hi, since we run the AC's in the dorms the windows are closed but as you noticed Tamarindo is very popular for its night life hence at times you can hear the music from the town. We are still very lucky to have such great location! Only 30 seconds to the beach, 1 minute to the store and another minute to the center! Yet away from all the hussle and bussle of this busy little town! Thanks again for staying with us we enjoyed your company!

We had such a wonderful time at your hostel! The room is exactly what we were looking for - clean, spacious, nice bathroom. The staff was lovely and always willing to help us with restaurants suggestions and excursion planning. We had a wonderful time hanging out in the common space and spending time with other travelers. Thank you for making our stop in Tamarindo a great one!

This was my favorite hostel in Costa Rica. The staff was very helpful, and speak English. They helped me book a shuttle and a room at my next town. I met a lot of cool people here and some chicas bonitas. I stayed in a single room/ shared bath for $30 which was worth it. The patio with hammocks was right outside my room which was awesome. The common areas outside were good places to meet people. It is just a short walk into town and the super mercado is right around the corner.

We had a private room for three with AC and it was basic with everything we needed. While we were there, Tamarindo was going through a drought and the town was actually trucking in water so one night there was no water which was inconvenient after a long day at the beach but understandable due to the circumstances. The wifi was a little spotty. The hostel had a cute little outdoor area with beany bags and hammocks and the staff was always helpful in recommending where to eat and go.

We stayed here twice during our time in Costa Rica - a great spot just out of the chaos but close enough to walk a couple of minutes into town. Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Good spaces to hang out, well equipped kitchen even parking if you need it. Good internet too.

The staff was not kind during our whole stay in the hostel, there was no water for 2 days and they sad that it was occurring in the whole city problem but I've found a much better hostel, cheaper that didn't passed trough problems in the water suply.

Thank you for your comments, I am sorry you did not feel the positive and happy vibe from our staff members as all the other backpackers (see reviews) love our staff! The water issue is now fixed in Tamarindo as we had our major rains! The wells are full and trees are green. Thank you again for your stay and good luck on your future travels.

Pura Vida mini is a great hostel with a great vibe - its in a quiet part of Tamarindo away from the chaos but still close to the fun. The nice quiet part of the beach is just right down the street and the best Coffee and breakfast place (Cafe Tico) is right around the corner. Staff and fellow travelers are great here - friendly, considerate and super chilled. Loved the rocking chairs up on the verandah and the numerous howler monkeys and lizards who stopped by to say hello!

Nice place. Is great that the dromas have A/C, because Tamarindo is so hot. If you are spanish sepaker and you don't speak english you will be on troubles. Anyone from the satff speak spanish. Anyway the girls at the reception are great. Nice hostel, well located.

We had a nice stay, the dorms were good w/ a/c and comfortable beds. The commun area is great, kitchen has everything you need. there is only 2 bathroom/shower (one man one woman) for everybody in the dorm, and we were asked to go to bed at 11 because we were still talking in the commun area.. But still nice hostel and really nice town, close to everything. Some people got some things robbed in their car on the street while they were waiting for the check in so be careful!

Great location, honest and very helpful staff, will follow up on your request and remind or update you often.

Nice vibe, great communal spaces to hang out. Close to the beach and town, but away from the noise. Not all the private rooms have AC; if I could do it again I would have gotten the deluxe private because the rooms get quite warm without AC. Occasionally, howler monkeys would come onto the property!

Amazing staff and very helpful 5 minutes from the beach and you have access to a pool... very refreshing!!! I experienced better atmosphere in other hostels but this is a great value for money! Def not a party place, especially during low season!
