Directions to Pure Vibes Backpackers Resort

Once in town follow the main street towards the beach, until you see Lizard Lounge bar on your right, turn right directly after Lizard Lounge onto Calle de Chorrera and follow this road for 300 meters and you will find Pure Vibes Resort on your left.


Liberia Airport, which is the central hub for all international flights to the region, is just 25km to the east of Playa del Coco. Its a 25-minute taxi ride from the airport, which costs $30.

Flight time from San Jose to Liberia Airport is 45 mins, and ticket prices start at $103 (including all taxes and fees).

From San Jose its a four-hour drive, or you can catch the bus which will cost $8 and takes around five hours. Three buses per day leave San Jose at 8am, 2pm and 4pm. They returning from Playa del Coco at 4am, 8am and 2pm. Private shuttle buses are quicker and cost around $40.

Tamarindo is a one-hour drive from Coco ($5 by bus).
