Pure Vibes Backpackers Resort Reviews

Had a great, great time at Pure Vibes on my recent stay. The place was pretty quiet, which was nice, but I guess I was hoping for a little more atmosphere around the pool (literally had it to myself during the four days I was there), and so of course the pool bar was never open. :( Location was terrific, Simon was an excellent host, and if it had been busy I could see it being a terrific social atmosphere. I would definitely go back if in Coco again.

The main building was full of 33 Danish people so we were put in the separate house, a block and a half walk from the main building. It was very very hot in there and even though there were fans running, the room was so small with 2 small bunk beds in them so the body heat of 4 people and not enough circulation prevented me from sleeping. The kitchen was kind of dirty, there were lots of ants and the bathroom was very hot as well. I'm sure the rooms in the main building are much better...

Pure Vibes is amazing - right by the beach, close to town, and it has the NICEST pool setting. So relaxing. The food is great (try the avocado pasta) and it has such an amazing staff. The best in Coco!!!!

We stayed in Pure Vibes "second building" which was dire. The main building with the pool looked nice and I imagine contains the rooms in the photos. The rooms we saw were tiny, hot with a filthy looking kitchen and a delapidated bathroom - the shower curtain wasn't attached to the walls and the whole thing was grimy. In the double room they showed us there was a broken fan sat in a pile of cardboard boxes. The whole building was dark and dirty. It was one of the worst places I've ever stayed.

The best place in Coco, the staff were too helpful, anythig we needed they helped with including tips and travel recommendations. Paying backpacker rates but getting hotel service. Oh and I didn't get to try the Jerk chicken cause its that popular and it ran out, but I hope everyone else does. Otherwise coconut curry is fine :) Thanks guys we will be back.

This was one of the best places that we stayed at. Staff were definitely some of the most helpful and friendly around. This place lives up to its name!

A great place to spend a few days and enjoy the beach town! Simon is the dude to talk to about anything, he is very well-composed and knowledgeable. If returning to Coco, Pure Vibes certainly would be my housing once again. The Jamaican atmosphere makes this a great place to chill out, and the main hostel has a really unique character. Also, the English-speaking staff is very friendly and accommodating! Backpackers, you probably will get the most bang for your buck here.

The hostel was very nice and clean, great place to stay I would recomend it. The only change I would make, would be not to enforce the "dont bring your own booze" to the pool. I beleive this has detered many people to relax around the pool because if they want to have a drink they have to buy it from the bar. All other hostels that have swim up bars have not enforced this rule therefore there are always people around and its a nice party environment which this hostel was missing

The hot water does not seem to work at all and the cleaning of the room was not very well done. There seemed to be places in the room which were never cleaned

Had the best time here! Staff is awesome!!!! Super helpful and friendly. Very chill and fun!! The main house has great amenities. Best swimming pool and swim up bar in town!!! Location is great. Just a short walk to the main street and to the beach. We originally were staying only 2 nights but ended up staying 5!
