Nice double room with ensuite. Fantastic little restaurant and lounge area upstairs - had a few meals there and were all good. hostel is nicely decorated and staff were helpful. We caught a taxi there easy enough from the old town, it would be a bit of hard walk with heavy bags. Once there though it is an easy walk down into the old town through the park. Would stay there again

The Location is the best I see, you can see the whole qingdao from the Rooftop or view piont. The staff was everytime friendly and help You also by extra things. I don't know why some people say the cleaness from the hostel was just 70%. My 3 Bedroom, the floor and the toilets was everytime clean

I’m from Taiwan and I just had the most amazing week in this awesome hostel! You have to climb everyday but it is worthwhile because of the great views on the top of the hill. Cool backpackers, many happy travelers, and of course the nice staff make this trip memorable… I will recommend it to all my friends and whoever happens to read my comment ;)

nice rooftop, nice food, god staff....but i think spring/summer is to prefer i the old observatory, because in autuum the rooftop is to windy, and becide the rooftop there is not many common areas! Nice view, but a little bit hard to find...   Read Owner Comments

This hostel is located on a hill in the middle of Qingdao with a nice view over a part of the city. Several busses are around a 5min walk away. The rooms and the shared bathrooms are clean and are in a western style. In general I can really recommend this hostel. The staff was very nice and helped us with our city sightseeing planning.

The mulitple bed dorm room at the bottom of the building didn\'t have any keys for us to lock up our things The bathroom was disgusting in the 12 bed dorm room and the ones in the main building were only slighlty less nasty. Other than some safety and sanitation issues, this place is very cool. The roof bar area was a great place to hang out at night. Staff was very warm and friendly. Can\'t beat the low price of a bed. So in short, you get what you pay for...   Read Owner Comments

We stay in a deluxe doppel bedroom. Very bad smell from the bathroom. Even we change the room, same thing. It looks like a serious problem. During stay on the roof terrace we realize that the breather pipe from the sewerage is closed. Is that maybe the reason?   Read Owner Comments

The hotel has a great location and is within walking distance to many local sights. The staff were friendly and helpful. The best part of the hostel is the roof top bar and patio. It is a comfortable place to hangout and relax. However, you should be patient when ordering breakfast, it's not the type of place you can have a quick bite and run. Be prepared to play the waiting game. That being said, the coffee is excellent and will keep you happy when you're waiting.

The only complaint I had was that the staff weren't so knowledgeable on some things, but they're pleasant enough. The rooftop is a brilliant place to meet other travellers. It provides a relaxing atmosphere to chew the fat while downing a few Qingdao pijius. Breakfasts were good too. One of the best hostel experiences I've had.
