It's minutes away from 2 metro lines, has a great staff, and it's the cleanest hostel I've ever been to. The breakfast is average and the shower runs warm not hot. They host events they don't really tell you about which you may enjoy if you're not shy and fluent in portuguese. First night they had a singer do an intimate performance, great, but next night there was a hipster party full of the staff's friends with no warning so trying to cook dinner and shower during that was not fun.
Quaint little hostel this was, with an interesting euro feel to it. Clean and safe, not only inside but also in the suburb it is located in. The place is a little dull inside and seems to attract a dull crowd given it is not next to the night life area. So its safe, but a fair way away from where the action is.
Truly excellent hostel, Carlos has made this hostel his life rather than his business, and he and the rest of the staff go right out of their way to help in every thing you would need. Will definitely be returning when I come back to SP!

Great hostel, with friendly staff and nice location in Vila Mariana (a very bohemian part of São Paulo). Only a short walk to the metro. Carlos is fantastic and makes you feel at home! Also a great place to watch the FIFA World Cup 2014 opening match!!!
Que Tal Hostel is wordefull, has all a travelling person need to stay without problems in Sao Paulo. Staff are amaizing, all them, Fernanda, Gabriel, Bruno, Maria Lorea and including the owner, Carlos and his girlfriend Melina. My nephew and I stayed the for 9 nice nigths, where we had the oportunity the speak with local people, learn a little Portugues and nkow about the Brazilian´s culture. Very close to the Station Vila Mariana, Iberapuea Park and Paulista Av. I´ll go back. Thank´s Que Tal.
