I reserved an 8 bed dorm and was placed in a 3 bed dorm for the same price. Really nice surprise. The bed was comfy and the shower had great pressure. Only down side was the room was

This place grew on me. I booked a 4 b ed dorm, and got placed in an 8 bed dorm for the same price. You can imagine I wasnt happy with this. The staff assured me it would only be me and 3 other girls - which to their credit was true. I think this whole saga could have been handled better on their part though. 8 flights of stairs at altitude with no lift was also a bit poor. Nice tv room, rooms were clean. Best feature of this hostel was the bathroom -big, clean, hot water!

I stayed in the hostel 2 nights before and after the Lake Titicaca trip. I stayed single ensuite room which was quite comfortable, although on the first night pillow cases and towels were missing. The staff was helpful and the location of the hostel was quite convenient.

Being Puno a touristic trap/hell with agencies always ready to scam you or to force you doing any tour, the hostel didn't help me much to get my head around.. and when I eventually got stuck in one of those mentioned problems with a crappy agency that tried to steal my money (Suri Explorer, agent name Eva, her number 951563030), the hostel owner was quite keen on helping just not to get a negative review here (and when it was too late anyway). Anyway decent location, good breakfast, quite clean.

The hostel caters expectations. The official Leo is very attentive and always willing to solve the problems that arise. The location of the hostel is very good, 2 minutes from the center of Puno.

Staff are nice but there is only one person who seems to understand english and he is not often there. The kitchen is quite small. The common room doesn't permit really to meet with other travellers. But it is a clean hostel and well located. The trip on lake Titicaca they offer is excellent.

More like a guest house than a hostel. Seems a place to stay if your looking for a quiet time. Stayed in a private room, very clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful booked tours and bus to Cusco for me.

The breakfast was good, eventhough sometimes there was not enough space to have it because of a number of people leaving for tours at 7 am. Hot water was available at any time. The staff is helpfull but charged us more than we should be paying. According to them, 10% of deposit is left for hostelworld.com and we should pay it again to the hostel. It was not fair due to no other hostel has such a policy and no announcement was previously made.

Nice place with clean big double rooms for a reasonable price. Kitchen is very small and we were lucky that we were almost the only persons at the hostel. Breakfast is good. The staff however spoke little English and we couldnt figure out if they spoke spanish (our spanish is not great). But when we asked about extra nights and changing of our booking tyhey just said yes and didnt registre anything, and again lucky we were the only one at the hostel so we could just get the same room!

The hostel was great and the owners and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Breakfast has a large variety and is way above the usual hostel breakfast, the beds are comfy and all facilities are nice and clean. I would definitely recommend this hostel!
