Very homely hostel and good to relax and chill out definitely not a party place. The staff are friendly but have very little English. The breakfast is good with nicer rolls then most other hostels and offer some fruit and the option of ham, cheese and avacado as well as jam.
Teeny tiny double bed, neither of us are tall or big but felt a little squeezed in to the double.
A very safe, quiet location with friendly, helpful staff. Nice breakfast included.
This is a great place to stay in Puno. Nice hot showers, good brekkie. The the man there, I didn't get his name was extremely helpful with our trips to the islands and our bus trip to Copacabana. Highly recommend this place (:
We stayed in this hostel in October 2013 and had a very nice stay. We had a nice private room with a private bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a good atmosphere in the hostel. An excellent breakfast was included and WiFi was available in the room . We have no hesitation in recommending this hostel.
The hostel is very close to city center and you have everything you need to. The breakfast is very good - not only with jam, butter and pane as in every other place, but with fresh fruits, juices, cheese and meat. Staff is very helpful, also when you want to book a tour around Titikaka lake. Rooms are very good with very comfortable beds.
Perfect hostel, great location and staff very helpful, couldn't have found a better hostel in Puno.

When you first walk in, the hostel feels super warm and smells like cinnamon. It gives such a wonderful feeling after being out in Puno/Lake Titicaca when the temperature DROPS once the sun goes down. The staff were helpful, breakfast was great, coca leaf tea was served 24-7, oh and pay with cash, the machine doesn't work. But if you're traveling in South America, you know that anyway :)
Very helpful staff. Booked the tour around Lake Titicaca through the hostel and they complied with all the requests i.e. English speaking guide, transfer from and to the hostel, etc. The hostel room was spacious with tidy bathroom.
This is a great place to stay for good service and a nice clean room. Puno in itself is pretty boring so that's probably why this hostel has a boring vibe to it. It's more of a 3 star hotel than a hostel. The staff are great and have good recommendations. We got upgraded to a private room as they had availability. This hostel is in a great location and all the locals know it.
Very nice and clean hostel, friendly staff. We could even print out for free.
Really -- really -- cold, but I just wore extra layers to bed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location. I'd stay here again if the weather was a little warmer during my visit to Puno. The ground floor rooms are not really quiet. You can hear every little conversation going on in the common room, so if you want to go to bed earlier than like 11, request a room on one of the upper levels. Warm bread and coffee for breakfast. Didn't use the shower, so can't comment on that.
If its just an overnight stay..this place is ideal. Great location, great breakfast and very clean. If it's more than a night...you might find yourself knocking on the door (midday) and no one is there. Better yet...you might be watching TV with the owners and their kids who all live there. Plus, had to walk up 4 flights of stairs to the dorm room...in Puno's high altitude...this is tiring at any fitness level.
Quechuas was a good place to stay in a handy location and very clean. It felt more like a hotel than a backpacker's. If I could change anything, it'd be the dustiness of the woollen blankets used in the bedding (though this seems to be a common thing in these dry, high altitude places, no matter where you stay?) and the wifi could be a little stronger
Located near the main street, which has restaurants and shops. The temperature of the bath water was very fluctuating.
Really good breakfast, room fine, had to wait for >1hr to be let into hostel as no one in though!
It was freezing cold in this hostel. To make things worse, the hot water of the shower ran out after less than 5 minutes. The rooms don't have lockers and there are a lot of stairs to climb. In contrast to the 24h reception they claim here, there was no one there around noon for almost 2 hours to let me in the hostel to get my stuff (almost missed my bus). The breakfast was fine and the rooms were spacious.
Good hostel, good internet (not necessarily in the rooms). Only drawback: the hostel has no elevator. The room was somewhat cold
Breakfast was great, rooms clean however we were completely shocked by the cost of our laundry!! When we enquired why it was so overpriced we were told that it was because our clothes were extremely dirty which was not the case. Furthermore laundry cost was quoted per kilogram.

good location, decent breakfast, shower sometimes goes cold when there is too many people showering. owners really helpful with bookings (turned out cheaper than what you get on the high street). would go there again. it can get a little cold in the rooms at night though.
