This place is very much a compromise. The location's not great and the building's seriously old, but it's not too expensive and the staff is pretty friendly. Peter in particular was really helpful when I was planning some stuff.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hostel. In relation to the price quality ration - it's the best hostel out there. Although one minor problem was it's locaiton - you have to walk for about 10 minutes to/from the nearest bus stop. Otherwise this precious gem was filled with nice people - great staff and free wifi. Thank for giving us a pleasant experience.

Really enjoyed my time here, lots of cool people, staff were really friendly (Robert!), breakfast was really nice and cheap at £1.50. With that said, don't expect luxury here, it is basic, but comfortable, and clean enough.

Overall, this was a great place to stay for a 4 day weekend. The price was reasonable, breakfast was provided for only an pound and a half, and the staff were incredibly nice. It definitely has a sort of "homey" feel to it, and it well worth your money. It could have used a little bit more sweeping/remodeling but other than that, I'd give it a solid B+ rating.

I realize that, in the world of hostels, there are few things that can be certain. For example, the behavior of those coming in at all hours to stay in one of the rooms and also, when possible vacuuming could be done . However, surely there could have been LESS dust and miscellaneous refuse under the bed than there happened to be! Finding people who were in positions of authority was next to impossible, as the line between the bar and hostel personnel was essentially nonexistent. Not for newbies

The Hostel was good but some imporovement must be done in terms of cleanliness and facilities. No air dryer and no free lockers and adaptors. The kitchen was awful. Extremly dirty and poor. Only a dirty microwave oven. Nothing more. One night I clearly saw a mouse running across the kitchen.

I have stayed in a number of hostels for low prices and this was mind boggling. The rooms were TINY with triple bunk beds. It was BEYOND freezing inside...just as cold as it was outside. And when they came to clean up the left the window open -____- The bathrooms were dirty and small and there were too many creeps around the bar to count. I would not recommend this hostel, you could find better hostels in London for the same price.

This hostel has no reason to be so expensive. There were few bathrooms and I stayed in a cold outer building. The security was not very effective and I did not enjoy my time at this hostel.

Staying here was a good choice for me preparing to live in London. Some people might complain it's far from the center, no kitchen, not super clean etc.. But think the average of hostels in London. It's not like Portugal. Don't expect too much and enjoy this busy savage cool urban city. Considering the price, I was lucky that I could stay here. Good enough. I would stay longer if the weekend price is not expensive. Anyway, thank you for a pint of bear, Robert.
