NB: I read some reviews, and I feel strangely positive ... The room is outside the hostel, and it's really small for sixteen people, the showers do not work for four days, only two bathrooms for sixty people, there is only one microwave for cooking. Tthe place is far from the subway, and far away from the city center by bus at night and need a lot of changes still far ... In conclusion, there is no reason to destroy the holiday here.

I thought the hostel was difficult to find, but I really enjoyed the bed and the shower. The place was clean. It is a cheap place to stay and overall, I was happy.

Snowy spell - Coldness of the room may have been due to the unusual weather. I'm not a party-traveler; bar downstairs got a bit noisy &rowdy for doing work on my laptop (room had no wifi, nor a proper space to work so this wasn't an optio(I had the middle bed where you can't quite sit up straight, and floor space was cold&limited). Sketchy person hanging out at the living-room area downstairs made it a bit uncomfy. Microwave as the only cooking solution is poor, but staff was good!

First time staying in an Hostel in London. It has a big and nice common room where you can meet people from all over th world while drinking a good beer. We didn't like the room at all, especially its grade of cleanliness and security (we went out in the morning and once we came back we found the door open). We will definitely find another place to stay next time in London.

Excellent place to saty. The staff is brilliant, specially ROBERT!! The place is very good taking into account that you are in the middle of Fullham/Chelsea and you can go anywhere from there.

Ok location, cheap place to stay but the room outside has way to many people in it and it smells.

The Queen Elizabeth Chelsea was absolutely amazing. I had an amazing time there hanging out with Jason and Barbara and Adam. The staff was wonderful. The beds were nice. The bathrooms were clean. Hanging out in the common area/pub space was a blast. Overall, staying at the Queen Elizabeth made my stay in London about 100 times better than it would've been without the Queen Elizabeth. My roommates loved it too.

Great hostel run by Robert and the rest of the staff. Good location in Chelsea, close to easy transport to the city. Great downstairs bar where you'll always meet someone new. Thanks

Maybe the people complaining about the cleanliness of this hostel arrived on the same day as a bus load of stag dos, but we found the hostel perfectly clean.

I booked in for one night, thinking anything will do until I sort myself out, and I was really surprised how good this hostel was and stayed a week! Although it had a bar, it was not loud, or noisy, and it was a great way meet fellow travellers, and never felt uncomfortable being a female drinking at the bar, especially thanks to barman Robert! People who complain about the hostel are obviously expecting 5* Hotel standards, which this is not, but if you want a fun and clean hostel, stay here!

I didn't expect much from the hostel for the price or rating, but I was pleasently surprised at it all. Like the other review said, the walls are lined with gold and all the staff are beautiful, especially Robert. Truely one of the best hostels I've stayed in during my travels. I had my doubts as a solo-female traveller, but all the staff and guests were really friendly, bathrooms were clean, breakfast for £1.5 was cheap and v. cheerful. The rooms were also clean, comfortable, safe, and warm.

Queen Elizabeth Chelsea was one of the best hostels I had ever stayed. You can rarely find a hostel like this place with a friendly yet calm atmosphere. All the staff were very helpful, I'd like to thank especially Barbara who had always helped me and saw me to the door when I left. I will definitely stay at this hostel again!

Very clean, a bar as communal space and a good athmosphere...2 things bothered me though: it was very far from the station and with no sights around the area it felt a bit remote...also no cooker or oven, just 1 microwave in the kitchen, so you cant cook really!

You walk in and think "christ, another dying London bar masquerading as a hostel".A microwave in a corner is not a kitchen, its not even a kitchenette. Surrounding two dominant TV's with chairs do not create a social atmosphere. They kill it. Whoever invented triple high bunks should be shot. Putting two into a 10'x8' size room is just greed. £14 for 2 nights is just acceptable, do not pay anymore. Dirty manager=dirty hostel. Save yourself travel time and money and book a genuine hostel elsewhere
