We had a room for 3 people which was only $12 per night. Good deal for the money. The problems included: only about 3 minutes of hot water, so we always ran out, and the room looked clean but smelled like urine.

Nice budget place to stay in a central location. Room was very clean and had lots of hot water. Staff friendly with good English. Heater costs $4 extra but it was fine with just an extra blanket. Breakfast available for USD2. Front rooms are a little noisy so ask for a room at the back if you are a light sleeper.

We were "upgraded" to Hoang Ha Hotel due to renovations. Big, quality room & great views but let down as there was no heating in room or entire hotel & it was very cold everywhere. Also, had maintenance work going on? Rooms were also very damp, making clothes and bedding damp, coats needed on all the time, even in restaurant. Shower had 3 mins hot water before going cold. Location was good though a little walk into town, staff were really friendly and helpful and were the best feature of hotel.
