very nice, very clean, close to metro and other transports possibilities but breakfast to expansive.
Splendid hotel rooms in the nice neighbourhood of Charlottenburg. Friendly staff, open 24/7. Great public transport connections to centre and other parts of the city. Breakfast is a bit expensive but there are several nice breakfast cafeteria at Adenauerplatz (200m). I was going to give a 'good' review, but they even returned my phone charger costlessly (international mail to the Netherlands), so I'll change it to 'excellent'! Definitely one of the best budget hotels in Berlin.

It's more of a hotel than a hostel really, but good value. Pretty close to Charlottenburg station which is handy, the tube station which is closest we didn't use at all as the line it's on didn't seem particularly helpful and it is quite a way in until you get to the 'centre', say the edge where the zoo is and the Europa shopping centre. We did walk it one day, but loads better to hire bikes and cycle round! Nothing wrong with the staff, we just didn't have much interaction with them.
Newly equipped hotel with spacious, bright and clean rooms. Unfortunately the (tiny) elevator was broken, which was not unimportant taking into account that our room was on the sixth floor. Staff was OK, not unfriendly, but rather quiet and reserved. However, good value, everything you need for a couple of days for prices cheaper than some youth hostels.
