Staff very kind and helpful, place very close to airport. It was however difficult to find it, there is no name/sign on the gait and taxi driver from Quito did not know the hostel neither the village. No warm water, and very cold at night inside.
Overnighting in Quito. Can't beat it when you consider the savings made on taxis. Definitely print off directions from booking confirmation; it is not well known yet. Very tranquil & peaceful opportunity to get my ducks in a row - Dominic is a great host with activity suggestions. HIGHLIGHT: Javier & Monica's restaurant at Francisca Isabel on 24 de Septiembre is THE BEST RESTAURANT I have been to on this trip. Local produce and great recipes - get down there for the coal fired grill for dinner!
Clean, friendly, good atmospehere and pefect if you are flying in late or out early. The new airport is 40km away from Quito and it can take an hour. Tababela is a pleasant littl village and just 10 minutes from the airport. Highly recommended - Airport Guesthouse is the same as Airport Suites in case you are confused.

By far the worst place I stayed in Ecuador, despite being the same price. I stayed here on 2 separate occasions because of it's convenience to the airport. NO taxi driver has heard of this hostel and each time, the drive took 30 minutes due to drivers getting lost. I had one driver refuse to take me to Tababela at all. So it's not as convenient as you'd think. Hostel itself-- plywood ceiling, tin roofs, no towels, very cold, trash left on bed from previous tenants. Cold water only.
This was the perfect place for us since we had a very short night in Quito before flying to Cuenca. They picked us up at the airport and were really flexible when we asked them to change the date of our arrival. The person at the front desk was fluent in French and very friendly. Great place to stay if you are between two flight.
I loved this place; located close to the airport it's perfect for getting as much sleep as possible before an early flight. The dinner was reasonable and delicious, the room plenty large, and the wifi worked as well as anywhere in Ecuador. My cab was ready to go for $6 the next morning at 5a. Great experience.
