My room was noisy (hearing all discussions, and cars outside), and with very poor furniture (no chair nor something to hang out clothes, nor table, no curtain & store was damaged ,(lack of intimacy). Its door was not very strong, (don't feel safe as locker). Hopefully, staff was very kind and keeping the hostel quite clean. access to internet was easy ,shared bathroom was excellent. Location of this hostel (near large roads and closed to airport) would deserve better equipment to reduce noise.

This Hostel is the worst hostle I ever seen in my life. It smells bad; It is not clean. The rooms are full of bug. I couldn't get sleep. The staff the so called manager has no human character. In the kitchen I see mouse then I stop cooking or eating there. I got coughing as every body in that hostel. In the night it seems you are in hospital because people from every rooms are coughing. I think The City of San Diego has not made any inspection, rather it is collecting a 10.50% tax from us.

After reading a few of the reviews I was a little skeptical about staying here, however I found this hostel to be a very cool little place and a far better alternative to the hostels downtown in the Gaslamp, which always have homeless people hanging around. They are located in Little Italy and are close to the airport which I found to be very convenient. James and Jeff are both super friendly, helpful, and had me laughing the entire time. I felt very safe and welcome thanks to these two.

the staff are so far from reality and not up to international hostel standards and have been found fighting and calling each other names. the dust under the bed was so thick i could write a letter in it. the common area has a weird vibe and the bathrooms are not great. boo. this place seems to attract the seedy. booooooo!!

I didn't care for this place. The staff where not friendly and welcoming. It was actually hard to tell who the staff were and who was a guest. The place lacked warmth. The most offensive thing I experienced was the men's bathroom on the first floor. I used the troff urinal. It had no plumbing attatched to the drain. so, the urine and flush water spilled onto the floor and ran across the bathroom floor. They could have at least posted an out of order sign or taped it off. Not returning

Persons who works in the hostel are very nice but cleanliness is bery bad. I was bitten by some bedbugs ! With my friends we have found some insects on the bed... So they have to pay attention about the cleanliness of the rooms.

The house looks very pretty from the outside but it was a really weird Hostel with very weird people in it! We had the feeling that most of them are homeless in there. Me and my friend we were kind of scared to spend the night there...

No parking arrengment. Night attendant was rude. Was a dark old house. People were strange non welcoming. Big issue is parking there is no safety in parking in front of the hostel.

Unlike other Hostels I have visited the beds are made when you arrive and, you are not just sent to your room, the staff takes you on a tour to ensure that you know where everything is located, they also help carry your luggage to your room. One staff member in particular (James) is very attentive to guests needs and seems to genuinely care that everyone has a great time. You will feel more like a friend then a guest!
