My room was noisy (hearing all discussions, and cars outside), and with very poor furniture (no chair nor something to hang out clothes, nor table, no curtain & store was damaged ,(lack of intimacy). Its door was not very strong, (don't feel safe as locker). Hopefully, staff was very kind and keeping the hostel quite clean. access to internet was easy ,shared bathroom was excellent. Location of this hostel (near large roads and closed to airport) would deserve better equipment to reduce noise.

This Hostel is the worst hostle I ever seen in my life. It smells bad; It is not clean. The rooms are full of bug. I couldn't get sleep. The staff the so called manager has no human character. In the kitchen I see mouse then I stop cooking or eating there. I got coughing as every body in that hostel. In the night it seems you are in hospital because people from every rooms are coughing. I think The City of San Diego has not made any inspection, rather it is collecting a 10.50% tax from us.

This entire review of yours is a complete fabrication!!! If you had such a bad time then why did you extend your stay with us by a couple of days? You were told when you decided to extend that the two bed room you were in was unavailable and you gave our staff what was an unjustified hard time about it and were completely unwilling to work with us to resolve the issue. It was explained to you that we had a very large group coming in and that adjustments had to be made. As far as any bugs THIS HOSTEL DOES NOT HAVE BUGS!!! It has been recently treated by a professionals. The tax is a standard tax that is required by the city. The tax requirements is posted on our Hostelworld booking site. We may not be perfect however we are always trying to improve not only our facilities but our guest services as well.

After reading a few of the reviews I was a little skeptical about staying here, however I found this hostel to be a very cool little place and a far better alternative to the hostels downtown in the Gaslamp, which always have homeless people hanging around. They are located in Little Italy and are close to the airport which I found to be very convenient. James and Jeff are both super friendly, helpful, and had me laughing the entire time. I felt very safe and welcome thanks to these two.

the staff are so far from reality and not up to international hostel standards and have been found fighting and calling each other names. the dust under the bed was so thick i could write a letter in it. the common area has a weird vibe and the bathrooms are not great. boo. this place seems to attract the seedy. booooooo!!

I didn't care for this place. The staff where not friendly and welcoming. It was actually hard to tell who the staff were and who was a guest. The place lacked warmth. The most offensive thing I experienced was the men's bathroom on the first floor. I used the troff urinal. It had no plumbing attatched to the drain. so, the urine and flush water spilled onto the floor and ran across the bathroom floor. They could have at least posted an out of order sign or taped it off. Not returning

Persons who works in the hostel are very nice but cleanliness is bery bad. I was bitten by some bedbugs ! With my friends we have found some insects on the bed... So they have to pay attention about the cleanliness of the rooms.

We appreciate your complimenting our two employees. However I can assure you that the rooms, beds and entire Hostel is cleaned quite well on a daily basis. I can also assure you that this hostel does not have bedbugs in any of our rooms as well as through out the rest of the building. All beds are sprayed and sanitized and all linen is washed and bleached after each guests checks out! We have had no complaints brought to our attention, however if we were to ever receive a complaint we would take every step to rectify the situation. The two employee's work very hard to keep everything in good shape We thoroughly enjoyed your stay with us and apologize for inconvenience you may have experienced!

The house looks very pretty from the outside but it was a really weird Hostel with very weird people in it! We had the feeling that most of them are homeless in there. Me and my friend we were kind of scared to spend the night there...

We are terribly sorry that you felt the way you did. However I can assure you that none of the guests staying here are homeless. We under no circumstances allow homeless people to stay with us. Nor do we allow homeless people to hang out in front of the building as well!!! Remember that hostels receive guests from all over the world and from many different cultures as well, so what you may find weird is normal to someone else, In your eyes you may be normal but in some one from a different are of the world you mite seem just as weird as they did to you!!!

No parking arrengment. Night attendant was rude. Was a dark old house. People were strange non welcoming. Big issue is parking there is no safety in parking in front of the hostel.

Unlike other Hostels I have visited the beds are made when you arrive and, you are not just sent to your room, the staff takes you on a tour to ensure that you know where everything is located, they also help carry your luggage to your room. One staff member in particular (James) is very attentive to guests needs and seems to genuinely care that everyone has a great time. You will feel more like a friend then a guest!

The place was great, the staff was very welcoming - even had a complimentary thanksgiving dinner, turkey and all! Really cool. The couples rooms were pretty cramped, not a lot of sleeping space for two with those bunk beds. But location is great and we were very happy with it over all!
